MAG is getting closer than ever. The title is scheduled to release a mere month from now, with a date of January 26th in the US. Massive Action Game has been heavily anticipated for quite some time. It is the first PS3 title from SOCOM developer Zipper Interactive.
Zipper Interactive today has announced that MAG has gone gold in North America, Japan, Korea, and the rest of Asia. Zipper also revealed that the European discs “are finishing up final quality assurance rounds right now”, and they expect those editions to go gold in the coming weeks.
The team also brought exciting news, announcing that the formally exclusive MAG beta will be brought to everyone on PSN. They have described this beta as the final taste to the game, and it will launch January 4th.
MAG launches January 26th 2010 in both North America and Asia. Also expect the title to hit January 28th in Japan, plus January 29th in Korea. Will you be picking up the title? Post your comments below!

Well I’m so sick of FPS games right now, that I really have no desire to buy this, which is unfortunate because it can be a cool game. I was in one of the first beta’s, and theres a lot of potential here, once the different bugs and balancing issues are cleaned up, and the graphics given the apparently promised overhaul. However, theres too many other games on the horizon that aren’t shooters, and thats the way I’m gonna go. GoW3 and Heavy Rain in particular.

Everyone can start downloading the beta tomorrow so the huge dl can be done way before the beta starts. I would recommend waiting to open/load the game itself until sometime when u don’t need your ps3. Once the game starts downloading from inside you can’t do anything else. Everyone needs to give this game a shot. The upgrade/skill tree aspects of this game make it very addictive once you get into it. The sheer # of players and level design make it feel like nothing else out there and hopefully an open beta will mean plenty of people to fill/start matches with quickly. SVER FTW!

I watched my bro play the Beta, since I gave the code to him(I’m a Qore subscriber). The game does look and play amazingly. I opted out of Modern Warfare 2, for two reasons, Activisions business practices and I don’t want to OD on FPS’s. I’m currently working on my last trophy for Resistance 2 to get that platinum! I’m all over this game when it comes out.
2010 will be another amazing year for Sony.
MAG
ModNation Racers
God of War III
Heavy Rain
Final Fantasy XIII
SSFIV
I’m getting all of these day 1!

GOd damnit. It’s like they hate me or something.
They closed the beta the day after i returned to the states from studying abroad, and they’re opening up a new beta the day before i go back to school where my internet blows.
Looks like i’m not going to get a piece of this.
