Yesterday, LittleBigPlanet launched it’s second level bundle, the Pirates of the Carribean pack. The bundle was incredibly appropriate as well, as it came with the anticipated water feature that LittleBigPlanet enthusiasts have been waiting for. Now that the bundle has been released, it’s only fair to bring alongside a patch for the title.
LittleBigPlanet v1.22 “Danish Blue”, went live yesterday with the release of the Pirates of the Carribean level pack. Here is the full list of changes that the update brought:
Updates:
- Water now available to creators who own the Pirates of the Caribbean Premium Level Kit, and playable via community levels for everyone. Check the FAQ for more information on controlling water.
- Added 11 new trophies.
- Scuba Gear Powerup -The Scuba Gear object gives Sackboy an infinite air supply when he is underwater.
- Bubble Machine -The Bubble Machine refills Sackboy’s air supply if he is in close proximity to the object. It can be operated on or off by a switch object.
- Water Switch – The Water Switch is a switch that is activated when it is submerged in water. It can be connected to the same objects as other switches.
- Global Water Object – Similar to the Global Lighting Object the GWO can change the water’s settings over a specified time when it is triggered.
General:
- You can now save your decorated POD – When in the pod, if you open Popit you will see a POD (rocket ship) icon next to the Heart icon, opening this takes you to the My Pods section, where you can save and load 100 pod decorations
- Ability to reset avatar to default (PSN) avatar
- More Details page – on a level’s info bubble there’s now a page of stats about the level.
- You can now disable the Thermometer in Create Mode if you are worried about screen burn: Go to Settings > Display Settings and there will be an option to show or hid the HUD when in Create Mode.

AWESOME UPDATE!!
THEY SHOULD’VE RELEASED ALL OF THESE FEATURES WHEN THE GAME WAS RELEASED, THIS GOES TO SHOW Media Molecule never spent enough time, I couldn’t help but to wonder how much of people’s HDD they’ve stuffed up instead of just leaving it all of a dual-layered blu-ray disc.
Anyways, AWESOME UPDATE!
Better late than never, that’s what g@y people always say, jokes XD
I get so sick and tired of people that say the same things over and over. “They should’ve had that done when they released the game.” Here’s an idea since you know so much about game programing, and know what features need to be in a game before it’s released. How about you put out your own game that is perfect and never needs an update.
Did he upset you with the gay joke at the end, Omega?
I downloaded the level kit and it was only a little over a MB download, what’s up with that? Should this be a rather large download since it’s completely new levels? I have to download all the patches since I have a new PS3 so I can’t play it yet. Anyone else download it yet?
I did, but I havent played them yet. I had to delete my LBP data off my hard drive right before I was able to get a 500 gig HD. it was either delete my LBP stuff or all of my GTA 4 stuff. So im working on LBP again.
I don’t mind game updates, not at all. The only time I hate them is when me and a friend are ready to play a game and turns out we have to wait 20 minutes for an update in order to play online. That’s why I wish a future FW update would allow us to press triangle and have a “Check for Update” setting in the GDU folder. That way you could stay up to date, even without inserting a disc.
