25 Best PSOne Classics of 2009

Recently the PlayStation Store has been updated with a best of 2009 section, detailing the best there is on the store in terms of PSN games, PSP,  Add-Ons and more.  One of the most interesting were the top 25 PSOne classics of 2009 and while most of them wont shock anyone, there were a few surprises in there.

Below are the top 25 PSOne Classics in no particular order other then how they were listed.

  • Resident Evil Director’s Cut
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Twisted Metal 2
  • Crash Bandicoot
  • Crash Bandicoot 3: WARPED
  • Suikoden

  • Silent Hill

So any surprises?  Something that didn’t make the list that you think should have?  Remember this is not our list but Sony’s list of the best of 2009.

    I have most of those games on disc yet I bought them on psn anyways just to show my love

  2. As good as some of those games are, I just can’t bring myself to using the D-pad.

    this list fails because Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver is way better than Blood Omen

    no offense Playstation Lifestyle, but… there are only like 25 PSone Classic games on the PSN. That’s like when they did the top 10 games of PS3 in 2007.

    @Cameron: oh, i bought Suikoden and its the first ps1 game i have finished :P its great

    i think FFVIII is missing, dont u think?

    Suikoden was the first PSOne Classic I bought, I’d never played it- but it was awesome! :) So good on the go on my PSP2000

    When are they releasing Tekken 3! And what is the deal with news on PS2 and Dreamcast releases? I know Sony is playing a game of chess with their competitors but their timing on making big game changing moves is making me impatient! lol

    Awesome list I had no idea there were so may PS1 games on the PSN.
