Ever since the release of Gran Turismo 4 in late 2004, the gaming world has eagerly been waiting for the release of its sequel, Gran Turismo 5. Being labeled as the definitive racer, it is boasting over 1000 cars and 20 locations (with mutliple variations); and for the first time in the series, will feature collision damage. In the February issue of the PlayStation: The Official Magazine, Gran Turismo 5 has claimed the coveted cover issue.
With a very-nice-looking Ferrari on the cover (which can be damaged!), it is sure getting the attention of the gaming world. PTOM also has a world-exclusive article on the racer.

The magazine should be going out to subscribers in the coming weeks.

I think it’s 20 “locations” actually. I’m certainly hoping they mean about 3 tracks per location.
yeah they’ll have alterations to those locations
I really can’t wait for this one. I remember in January ’07 downloading the demo and was completely blown away by it. didn’t pick up prologue but I wonder how much of an improvement they’ve made visually since that early demo.
i have never heard of a 6 year development for a game with $60 million budget.
this has to be too good. i can never imagine what would happen if it fails to deliver. just like the hyped up psp version.
