More information and such are releasing for Dead Space 2, the sequel to one of the better horror games to come out in recent memory and now we have a few new screenshots to show. There is a lot to see in the new Dead Space 2 screens including a few new enemies and a few great looks at the much thinner armor our of favorite miner Isaac Clarke.
Dead Space 2 takes place nearly 3 years after the events of the first game as the effects of the marker continue to have mental effects on Isaac. Players will witness the spread of the necromorph infection as it spread throughout a highly populated space station called the Sprawl.
Dead Space 2 is to be released this year though no release date has been given yet. Stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle as more details surface.

Looks like there will be more children monsters to kill, that baby room in the first one weirded me out. Love the new armor, looks awesome. Hopefully online Co-op will be on this one.

Never played the first one, that shocky mess just doesn’t appeal to me. Guess I was done with it back in the day playing Resident Evil one.

@TQS
I am an enormous fan of online co-op. That being said though, I think that co-op in a survival horror game would take away from the mood. Survival horror works well as a single player experience because it gives you that feeling of being alone and vulnerable.
I played through Resident Evil 5 with a friend using online co-op, and it was fun (fun enough to do it twice in fact), but it never felt like a survival horror to me. It became more like a 3rd person shooter with monsters.
I loved the mood and atmosphere in Dead Space. I would not want to see that compromised for the sake of online co-op.
That is just my opinion on the matter.

I agree Assassin, the novelty would probably wear off if it wasn’t done right. I have faith in them though- the first definitely had it’s moments, and if they think they can up it, and add co-op, i’ll give it a shot.
