Murder mystery Heavy Rain is set to be one of the hottest upcoming games of the year, bringing a whole new level of interactive gaming to the PlayStation 3. CEO of Quantic Dream and the renowned writer and director of Heavy Rain, David Cage, has often pushed the games level of maturity and how it appeals to an adult audience, causing many to believe that the game would get an 18 rating.
Although the game features full male and female nudity, including steamy shower scenes, the British Board of Film Classification has rated Heavy Rain as a 15 title, intended for that age group and above. Additionally, the BBFC has confirmed that nothing will be cut from the game. The rating was given due to the game’s “strong language, violence and sex.”
Heavy Rain is set to release in February 2010.
damn, and they call us the land of the free. around here you know thats gonna be mature, cause if your under 18 sex and nudity is evil. EVIL I SAY!
Crap.. when i saw “Rated” i was expecting a score.. i’m sure everyone knew this game would be 18+ or M..
Yeah normally it’s the other way round and the BBFC are slapping an 18 or in some cases bans on games. Sucks to be you everyone else! Unless america’s rating system gives it a 15 rating as well then we don’t really have anything exciting here.
remember this is the UK, It’s definitely not going to get the same rating over here.
