A few weeks ago, PSN users were enjoying a DLC pack for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 including characters amongst the likes of Carnage, Pyslocke and Cable. For some strange reason it recently went missing from the PSN Store. Activision explains why this has occurred.
Activision explains the DLC “expired” at the end of last year. “The Marvel: Ultimate Alliance Downloadable Content was a limited time offer, expiring on December 31, 2009,” a rep confirmed to Joystiq.
Looks like the DLC won’t be heading back to the PS Store, so enjoy to those who are wrecking havoc with Carnage, and sorry to those who were looking forward to.
CURSE YOU ACTIVISION! Why do you have to go and ruin everything?!
I think that Activision has something against Sony or Playstation. since Activision has been bitching against Sony for 2 years now!
So i will say: Fuck You Activision, and Stop being a whore for Microsoft!
there was DLC for this game?
I do not remember reading anywhere that it was a limited time offer. Forgive me for my language mods, but I must say that I am pissed about this. I consider myself a patient, and fairly forgiving man, but I have about reached my limit with Activision. They can go straight to Hell. I know that people say this all the time, but this is going to be a factor for consideration when I am thinking about future Activision purchases. It will be a major factor at that.
I should amend my previous thought by saying that if this happens to be a mistake of some sort I will happily recant my “go straight to Hell” comment. In that event they have my permission to take the long way to Hell instead.
ok fine it was a limited time offer…BUT WHY?? Activision loves nothing more than making money (Even more than making great games), why would they eliminate some DLC that could make them more???
i dont understand how anyone would benefit from this.
@giese095
I am ok with limited time content, as long as there is a warning in the product description stating that it is available for a limited time. There was no such statement in the product description in the store. There have been numerous limited content packs on the store, and all of them had a warning, except this one.
maybe there’s a GOTY version coming and they want to add “exclusive” dlc to it?
just guessing…
I’m okay with it being a limited time offer.
But the DLC was gone from the PSN on the 22nd of December.
So if it was limited until December 31 theres a little problem here .
So i would like to know if you can get an answer as to why it
got taken out a week before it was supposed to???????????
Im sure thers a lot of people like myself who got PSN cards this
Christmas to get the DLC but couldnt because it was not on the PSN
anymore .So we got scre… and we connot even play online with everyone because even
the compatibility patch was taken out.
@NightHextall
what? the compatibility patch was taken out? i downloaded the juggernaut compatibility patch.. was there one for every single add on? i haven’t bought the game but was planning to .. now fuck activision.
Wow.
Even 101 students know that’s a bad business move. It’s like highschool drama.
Grow up, Activision
i dont understand why you would make a DLC pack timed…
Nothing like getting a new game Christmas morning only to find out that the DLC was pulled a week too early. Now that’s a way to screw it up for the fans. Fuck you Activision!!
@shadowjin
Yes there was a patch for Juggernaut
and a patch for the 5 characters DLC
They took out everithing for the game
even the videos.
It looks like the game dosent even exist
anymore in their heads.
If they had one to start with.
hello …
apart form being a PS HOME rat twice a week, i’m also a PS STORE rat 3-4 times a week & spend a lot of money on it, i never came upon that DLC, oh yeah maybec because i don’t own MUA2 (MUA1 on PC is taking some dust somewhere!) …
with this i’m not sure i’ll buy MUA2 then, or maybe if indeed i get a GOTY pack with some DLCs at a better price .. who know!
Activision .. humm, i’m so sorry it merged with Blizzard, now i can’t hate it … I’m a Diablo fan!
cheers!
