Europe Gears Up for ModNation Racers Beta
With the ModNation Racers US Beta recently ending this weekend, it’s time for Europe to get their own piece of ’Play. Create. Share.’, kart style, meaning that all of PlayStation Lifestyle’s European readers will soon have a chance to play.
January 21st will be the lucky day for the first 100,000 European PSN owners who download the beta from the PSN Update that Thursday, as the Beta doesn’t officially go live until the next day. Those in the US who might have missed out on the US Beta the first time around might be able to create an European account to try for a chance to download the beta. But hey, you didn’t hear that from us.
If the EU beta is similar to the US beta, then those who get their hands on the game will be able to race on three different developer-made tracks, modify their racers, and make their very own tracks that others can race on. The beta content is limited, but just look at this post here. Although the create options are scant, fans somehow made a gazillion very believable licensed characters.

I cant wait, I never got a chance to try out the US beta
This is probably the only beta that actually turned me off to the game. The concept was bad ass, it just didn’t come together. Could just be my connection or something but it kept kickin me off and wasn’t 24hr.
I had the same problem with MAG, the connection sucked for the game and I never ended up even playing the game I don’t want a game that requires an internet connection to even be able to play the game because I get disconnected twice a day on a regular basis now (the PSN just sucks. It can’t be my connection as my laptop works fine)
servers are terrible, but besides that, the load times were awfully horrendous. 50% of my time with this beta was loading times… not cool. When you were actually playing tho, its great.
I was going to buy this, but after playing the Canadian Beta I’m put off it. Load times were absolutely horrific. There was hardly anyone playing the Beta so it should have been much, much quicker.
