  1. No Dragon Age? The writing was top notch in that one! The characters were especially beautifully written.

    I call bs.

    Amazing how many people were involved in the story for MW2, and no one thought “hey, we should have a part where they kill the main bad guy… what was his name…? oh! makarov!” … yeah… duh. I don’t really think this game deserves a nomination, what with the fact that it doesn’t acknowledge what happens to main antagonist. Also, a huge loophole in this story is the airport scene. Ok, you have 4 terrorists with machine guns. You are undercover, standing behind them holding an equally large machine gun, and are a highly trained US Army soldier. What the hell is stopping you from shooting all four in the back of the head, thus stopping the airport massacre, all of Makarov’s plans, and basically everything else that happens in the game? The point of going undercover was to get close enough to Makarov to stop him. You’re there! Get him! what the hell?! ok rant over, sorry.

    ::::::::::::SPOILER OVER::::::::::::::::::

    Its good to know about this though, there was definitely a lull in the story telling in video games for a little bit, at least I felt, and then in the past two years it seems to have picked back up again. Uncharted 2 for the win though, with such a lengthy campaign and excellent plot through out the entire thing. I thought Batman AA and Infamous were pretty good for the stories too though, I’m surprised they didn’t get any mention either.

  3. Modern Warfare 2 had a kindergarten-esque story… It doesn’t make sense, and there are lots of plot holes… blaring plot holes.

    Everything else looks all right… except maybe Wolverine.

    why is MW2 on this list? honestly it’s your typical FPS story line

    Another reason list’s for popular awards do not take what their own topic is into account and only what the dollar bill dictates.
