… how could you admit to the press, as the head of a company, that you released a shitty product.

I can ALMOST see past Kotick’s antics over the past year, Almost, but this is just stupid. With his words, he’s not only making people lose faith in his company, but he’s probably alienating a lot of his staff that worked HARD on those games. I don’t care if the games were shit, I haven’t played them, but you never say that about the products you’re trying to sell, or about the level of workmanship you and your company produce.

To think Kutaragi was forced into early retirement for his comments, Kotick is a horse’s ass.

I sold the original Spiderman for PS1 way back in 2000, I think, then 7 years later I found one at a gamestop that was selling PS1 games buy 2, get 1 free. I love this game so much I have bought it twice. Now I have been disappointing with the Spiderman games as of late, but being a pretty hardcore fan of Spiderman, I don’t think they were crap. I enjoyed Web Of Shadows, I LOVED Ultimate Spiderman, its just I don’t think they ever go the extra mile to make their games exceptional.

For instance: Web Of Shadows was a somewhat glitchy game, and after I played the first half, everything else felt repetitive. The game was NOT worth replaying enough times to see all the other endings. The new combat system was cool, but it made every other move seem like crap, and if you didn’t use of the triangle air combat moves, then you ended up fighting people for way too long.

Another thing these games are missing are the Easter eggs that made the first Spiderman so cool. You want to find comic book covers of Spiderman’s coolest comics? Done. You want cameos from other super heroes in the Marvel universe? Done. You want a cheat mode that unlocks other aesthetic changes for even more Easter eggs? Done.

Another thing I would like to mention is that the first Spiderman game was NOT focused around web swinging. Yea it was there, but it got you from place to place, the animation was awful, and you really didn’t use it for anything other than transportation. The cool parts were the variety of missions, the amazing combat (punch buttons, kick buttons, web buttons, head locks), great boss battles, enemy variety and storyline.

And that’s why I give Spiderman, for the PS1 a 6/5
Amazing classic.

But seriously, learn from the past Activision. Sign Neversoft up for one last Spidy game

This is just incredible, all the guy is saying is they should have done a better job, and you guys read: ACTIVISION IS THE ANTICHRIST
We get it, you’re on the bandwagon, Activision trying to make money so they can still exist is a terrible terrible thing, and you don’t care at all about the hardworking people that actually have something to do with the games.

He is only stating the obvious since he is maybe going to shake up the company by cutting off some dev’s from the Activision family. This is just the first thing you do to make changes. Whether those changes will make any difference has to be seen.

i simply refuse to buy any game Activision pushes out. Not because of Bobby, but because they rehash the same shit over and over. Bobby is just the little icing on the cake that makes sure i dont stray from that.

Kotick is a twat! He moaned about the price of the PS3, only to charge £50 for COD: MW2 the hypocritical oaf! Apart from COD: MW2, ALL of Activisions games are SHIT. A multi-platform conveyor belt of shit just like EA.

Games producers like AV, are just 1 of the reasons i tend to only go for first party exclusive titles more than anything. And people like Kotick, are the kind of people i don’t wish to contribute towards paying their wages/salary either. So suck it Kotick, and choke while ur at it too!
