Makes sense. It’s been on the downlow for quite some time- this is too big for it to be released in a month and only JUST been given a name. After E3, everyone and their mother will know about it.

I’m predicting a blood bath at this years E3…. Sony and MS will have had a FULL YEAR to each develop something to fully showcase their motion devices. It’s going to get ugly, I guarantee it.

Hater – I really don’t think that Sony is going to lose focus on hardcore gamers. I think they realize how hardcore gamers have been ripping apart the Wii from day one and would never let their motion controller receive that same kind of attention. Sony is smart enough where they will make motion both accessible to the casual audience while also remaining entertaining for the hardcore audience. They are just trying to “broaden their horizons” with motion control and make the next logical step in adding more realism to gaming.

I understand what Hater is saying, and I think he is right, the focus will be on Motion Control and the supporting games, but at the same time, when it comes to GDC and E3 Sony will not be outdone by Microsoft in terms of wow factor. They will still drop big name premiers and new IP’s even if they are going to be teaser trailers and no release dates. Sony isn’t like Nintendo at all and neither is Microsoft. Sure they both want a cut of that new money that Nintendo is getting, but Nintendo has always shitted on the hardcore fans for generations, since N64. For the most part, the whole company of Nintendo has their focus on the casual market. Sony on the other hand, they’ve always had their focus on the tech-out, educated consumer. Sony’s MAIN focus isn’t going to be Motion Controls, it’s just only a part of what they always do, give you more bang for your buck. Remember 3D is also to be incomporated to PS3′s this year as well. They have divisions for each thing, which makes the company up as a whole. 3D, Bluray, Motion Controls, Cell processor, blockbuster games. Unlike Nintendo which is just motion controls and casual market, I mean who really thinks innovation with Nintendo anymore? So to sum this all up I WILL in fact be surprised if they don’t drop big name premiers at either of this conferences and solely focus on Motion Controls. That’s not Sony’s jip, if anything these conferences will be about Motion controls, 3D and which blockbuster (hardcore) titles support them both.

Here they’ve got a brand new technology they developed from scratch, with a good selection of games already slated to be ready for the launch, and they’ve just announced a release date for it.

But still nothing for Gran Turismo 5.

TheHater has a point though, there’s no denying that would Nintendo did made a heck load of money and now microsoft and sony want in on that money. Though from what happened with the wii it was mostly third party over-developing because it was so easy to develop for the wii and Nintendo hardly doing anything, seriously Miyamato must have been just sitting there with a questionairre that read,

1) Do you make videogames?
2) Do you like Nintendo?
3) Do you want a job?
4) Are you going to add motion controllers onto what is a broken game?
Answer yes to all questions to get a job devloping games for Nintendo.

You are missing the point. By them releasing it this Fall instead of Spring, we can expect the Motion controller to be Sony main focus at this upcoming E3. Sure there is going to one or two hardcore games, but the main focus is going to be the motion controller. If Sony can somehow release the motion controller with some hardcore games, I will be finding myself buying it on day one for sure. But Sony even release a motion controller at this stage of the this console generation speaks volumes. Sony is trying to go after that market the Wii has tapped into. If they are focus on that. They might loose focus on us hardcore games as Nintendo has done these past 3 years.

Idk, Hater…while I do believe there will be plenty of Arc information at GDC and E3, Sony isn’t Nintendo. You suddenly won’t see A million crappy games announced and maybe one or two hardcore titles. The Playstation consoles have always been the ‘home’ for Hardcore gamers and that won’t change anytime soon.

I really hope the add a analog stick to the controller. I don’t want to use my regular and a motion controller at the same time. That just stupid.
I am also interested in the title that will be release along site the release of the title. I guess Sony E3 press conference will be focusing on the motion controller rather than games for hardcore gamers base on this new revelation.

Seriously…we ALL KNEW this was going to happen. Sony is going to get more developers involved and it wouldn’t surprise me if they released it BEFORE or on the SAME day at Microsoft’s Natal. Thanks for breaking news we already knew, Sony, lol.
