Gamers have been wondering what Heavy Rain will deliver in its interesting and unique gameplay, as the exclusive is like nothing we’ve seen before (save Quantic Dream‘s own Indigo Prophecy), and the company is determined to shock everyone with the upcoming noir thriller. A new gameplay video of the murder mystery thriller has surfaced, which may do just that.
The first 9 minutes for PlayStation 3 exclusive Heavy Rain has been exposed. Quantic’s latest title is certainly looking set to revolutionize the gaming industry, possibly even creating a new genre, as writing and gameplay are combined to deliver a breathtaking experience.
Enjoy the video below:

Heavy Rain will be arriving on February 23 in the US, and February 26 in the UK.

Hopefully everyone understands that this is the tutorial for the game. The game is full of intense moments and options including detective work and paths. This game really is beautiful though.
Ahh, I felt so tense through that whole video because I’ve watched too many CSI shows. That opening video had so many of those murder style camera angles. The whole thing was like the beginning of a CSI show where you get to see how the person died, except the person never died. It kept me on my toes the whole time, because I was waiting for the Origami Killer to pop out at any moment, even though I know that this is the beginning of the game with a major character.
Kudos to the developers for making this game so well, cinematic wise.
Can I get dressed without taking a shower? What kind of free reign will I have? My wife and kids tell me I stink? This game looks amazing. revolutionary.
BOOORRRRIIINNNGGGG
I want to see action.. car chases, shoot outs, running after shooters, jumping from building to building.
i seen a guy brush his teeth, take a shower, and drink some OJ… WTF was that…
i need to see WAY MORE then that to even consider buying the games.
i bet this is what the demos going to be…
…Dude…This is the first 9 minutes of the game. Chill. It’s the freaking beginning, you expect to get all that already in the first 9 minutes? Can only wonder what games you play.
This isn’t an action game…but i would prefer a more tense opening like in Indigo Prophecy and i wouldn’t mind if the game would be a little bit like that afterwards.
This game is gonna be awesome! Looks smooth as….! Carnt wait to get my pre-order HMV special Edition

This is not an action game indeed, you may be mistaking the genre.. LOL !
Heavy Rain would be much like Indigo Prophecy, but Quantic Dream promised would be a complete new genre, so i’ll stick with that… i’m sure it will be great, that’s why i already pre-ordered the Special Edition.
it’s better that some people play the demo in order not to be deceived by it later, hopefully it’s coming soon.
cheers!
Haven’t been too interested in this game if i’m totally honest. But after watching that trailer, i am totally hooked! The lighting effects are astounding too. The only thing that put me off about the graphics is that the guy walks a bit funny, like he’s almost leaning backwards and swinging his arms like a Rastfarian lol. But it would be silly to use it as an argument against buying the finished product. Just hope it’s as good as the trailer potentially makes it out to be
Can’t wait to find out more however!
Can’t understand why the music is so somber, but the guy seems to be in a perfectly good mood. And he’s wearing yesterday’s underpants? That just bugs me.
Well, this certainly isn’t anything exciting, but obviously it’s the calm before the storm.
i hope it is though from early videos it starts off easy to get you in the swing of things and then proberly ends up getting quite difficult.
You cant judge the game off of this video. Its an interactive movie experience like none other. So being a movie in a way it takes a while to develope the story and get into the more exciting moments. You cant expect them to show you the best parts of the game 4 weeks before it comes out on a non interactable video. Some of you need to simmer down a bit. Look the game up online and watch other videos, the tech demos are really impressive and will change your mind more than this video will.
@xST-ANGERx
lmao at swinging his arms like a rastafarian
@Zack
your videos dead. i look at some game trailers video to find it since theres no source.
Video is working now, sorry about that mate.
It’s visuals are very nice, although, I DID watch it in a low-def stream. Not sure what to think about this game now… it’s a slow beginning but it holds massive potential it seems. I’m still looking forward to seeing more videos as its’ launch date approaches.
looks amazing, the gameplay looks like its going to be very interactive.
