Ezio Can’t Discover Trophies for Assassin’s Creed 2 DLC

01/27/2010 Written by The Great Thomasio

Assassin’s Creed 2′s first DLC pack, ‘Battle for Forli’ hits the PSN this Thursday in all it’s glory. For those seeking trophies will have to look  elsewhere for their fix.

When contacted by PS3Trophies.Org, Ubisoft UK Community Manager Korina Abbout had some bad news for all of you Trophies whores out there. ‘Battle for Forli’ will feature NO Trophies whatsoever. None. The DLC pack is only $4, so perhaps you get what you pay for. Then again, if you’re a true fan of the series and want the complete Assassin’s Creed 2 experience, should it really matter?

What do you potential buyers think? Are you still ready to drop your $4 on the pack or did this bit of news close your wallet for good? Let us know in the comments below.

  1. I was waiting for this DLC to trade this game in…There is really no reason for me to buy this DLC when so many other games are coming out. With trophies it would have been DAY 1 buy…off the GameStop or Amazon to trade in I guess.

DLC is always great, but the absense of trophies is a unconvience. It’s whatever though, as long as we get some good new content.

Now if it had achievement, now then I’ll be a bit upset. But atleast the make this game for PS3 so we can all not have to worry about a lame ass port.

  4. trophies for DLC packs are nice, but its not a dealbreaker for me

I already sold my AC2 like Matt said way too many good games coming out to care about this DLC i’m trying to rank up in U2 also haha so thats keeping me busy. :p

I don’t see the point in adding trophies to every single dlc. The small ones do not need trophies. If it’s a big expansion I can understand trophies. Sony should also fix trophies so that dlc doesn’t take away percentage from the main game. They should be set up in sub categories somehow.

BTW I will be getting all the dlc for ACII as it’s a great game.

My AC2 is long gone, finished it quickly for Platinum and I’ve traded it in for COD MW2 so I will not be bothered by this DLC, especially that it does not offer any trophies.

People buying games/DLC just for trophies are seriously frakked up in their mind.

  9. Agreed. But the DLC is 1 gig, so it’s not like it’s going to be some small side mission or anything. The preview for The Battle of Forli looks pretty sweet. At least I’ll be able to get the trophy for Kicking the guards using the flying machine. I missed out the first time, and for some retarded reason Ubisoft didn’t want you to go back and redo old missions. I hope they come out with a patch to allow you to do that. Still, I’m DEFINATELY getting both DLC packs. Kickass!

  10. @solo – apparently sony did add a subcategories thing like that a couple of updates ago. The problem is the devs have to program it in for each of their games, and no one has done that yet. Sorta like the playing music in game of your hard drive. Its there, they just don’t use it. Its really a shame…

Dam i hired Ass Creed 2 100% done and returned :( Didnt giv DLC a thought (dumbnut :( lol)

  12. I’m a little annoyed that the DLC has no trophies, I have the platinum already and it woulda been nice to get more trophies from AS2, but I’ll still be buying it. I want to finish Ezio’s story, and until the corrupted DNA sequences, of which the Battle of Forli is one, are viewed, there’ll be a gaping hole in the story.

It is kinda wierd not getting trophies with the dlc, but it is not that important. I am still gonna have fun stabbing people in the skull. I can’t wait for the next one after this though, I liked the flying machine, but you got to use it once…lame. So Bonfires will be cool. But anyways, this is a definate buy tomorrow. Expecially for only $4.

Trophies normally equate to more sales. I don’t think this is a good move on Ubisoft’s part.

I can’t believe the turn around time you guys give games. The only game I’ve sold back after beating it was Army of 2, but it was becuase it was a horrible let down to me, and I knew i didn’t want it anymore- but new games that i get and beat, I keep…. am i a dying breed?
