Platinum Games Reveals Vanquish

First, there was Madworld. Next, there was Infinite Space. The third was Bayonetta. Platinum Games has announced the fourth title in a 4-game deal with SEGA. Say hello to Vanquish.

Created and Directed by none other than Shinji Mikami, creator of the Resident Evil franchise, comes Vanquish, which looks to be an over-the-top action-packed game. Not much beyond the following video has been revealed and from what we can tell..the video contains no game play footage, but plenty of badass CGI mixed with live action scenes.

The video certainly looks beautiful, but raises plenty of questions. Is it an FPS? A Third-Person Shooter? What about a release date? I know one thing though, as soon as we find out, we’ll pass the information onto you.

Looks like it’s gonna be another generic shooter.ps3 doesn’t want this in it’s library….ps3 deserves better games

Shooters are what the 12-25 yr old American gamer buys the most and that is what developers feels sells in America. The numbers prove it, just look at M$ sales of the Halo series, Activision’s MW2 or any other MP online game. I would be surprised if this was a Single Player only.
Not saying it will be as good as M.A.G. or MW2 but it will garner a following of sorts, the trailer has me intrigued. I will be waiting for actual gameplay footage before I will say for sure if it will end up in my shooter collection.

tell me that old woman was an actor, because if she wasn’t , the that was one of the most impressive graphically rendered human I’ve ever seen

LOL. She was not to worry. The Production team that helped with this video was LOGAN, the same team that made the live-action scenes in Metal Gear Solid 4.
