Indy Racing a No-Go for Gran Turismo 5
News broke last month when PlayStation: The Official Magazine reported that IRL would be finding its way into Gran Turismo 5. A month later and P:TOM has revealed that it’s more like ‘IR-OOPS!’ as they have some bad news for fans of the Indy Racing League.
With the March 2010 issue hitting readers hands starting this week, P:TOM apologized for their error of announcing that GT5 would feature the IRL, joking that ‘we can always hope for DLC’ when it comes to the matter.
Considering the fact that the game features over 1,000 cars including the NASCAR and WRC licenses, does it bother you that it IRL won’t be a part of the package when the GT5 hits?
Gran Turismo 5 is scheduled to hit in 2010 and as I mentioned, it will include over 1,000 cars, 80 tracks, head-tracking via the PlayStation Eye, a totally revamped online mode, and tons more. Gran Turismo 5 will easily be the largest GT to date and one of the biggest games to hit this year across any platform. Make sure you don’t miss it.

The lack of the IRL cars isn’t the problem here. The fact that OPSM announces this as a feature in GT5 (even says its an exclusive reveal on their part). Only to come out a month later and say they goofed in a small side paragraph at the back of the magazine kinda kills some of their overall credibility. Gran Turismo is a first party Triple A title. If your the official anything you don’t screw up information about that.

Yeah it has too, They need something to cover the fall schedule and GT5 will be it. while GoWII will cover the spring. By the way just played the demo of GoWIII and it’s a BEAST!!!!!

I think I’d be happier with the WRC over the IRL, not saying the IRL is worse i would just prefer to be rallying over formula racing. Still cant wait for this game.
