Capcom Confirms More PSOne Classics On The Way

02/08/2010 Written by Zak Islam

Capcom is without a doubt one of the biggest supporters of reviving old PlayStation games on the both PSP and PS3 with classic favorites like Resident Evil and Street Fighter. The developers continue their support of delivering classics to PSN users.

Chris Svensson, Corporate Officer and Vice President of Strategic Planning & Business Development of Capcom, confirmed more classics are on the way on the Capcom-Unity forums:

Still working on a few more. I’ll need to be vague on title names for now until we get them fully locked and loaded.

Stick with PlayStation LifeStyle as we reveal more on the classics as it comes in.

Molasses in the winter moves faster than getting PS1 or 2 games on the PS3.

  2. i think they are bigger supporters for getting money from things people already have……its kinda like releasing a million versions of the same street fighter adding hd and super here and there…except people actually want the ps1 games for all sorts of reasons

  3. What I want to know, is when the hell are they gonna release Resident Evil on PSN in Europe? I’m the UK and want to play it on my PSP, yet it seems to of slipped off the radar over here!

except people actually want Resident Evil 1 because it’s a good game.

I don’t get why companies just don’t fund a small team to get these PS1/2 games on PSN? They’ll make all the money back and profit from sales of these games so what is the deal here?

Especially Sony and PS2 games, why don’t they just do what I mentioned, they have a bunch of PS2 classics they published that they are just sitting on. I’m sure there are a good number if not a lot of people who would buy Twisted Metal Black. I personally would love to have War of the Monsters on my HDD, with a little online integration maybe? C’mon Sony, easy money for you guys right here!

c’mon EInhander and Tomba! ! two of my favorite cult classics. (The exclamation point is part of the games name so don’t start mouthing off to me about grammar.)

Glad to read this news. I always love PS1 classics, all PS1 good games should head to the PSN. Capcom gave us Resident Evil games, Konami gave us Silent Hill and MGS1, that’s more than enough for me!

  9. Good thing I kept all of my Old PSone games. ;D

Can’t wait to see Dino Crisis 2, Mega Man Legends, Mega Man 8, Mega Man Legends 2 on PSN among others. Kinda wish other 3rd party developers would jump on PSN like Rockstar
