You won’t find Uncharted 2 or Killzone 2 type graphics in the game, but the game does fine in its own right with good looking towns and solid character models. The soundtrack is solid and the voice acting does its job without getting annoying. There are some flaws as the environments out of town feel repeated and many of the enemy models are in fact recycled through plenty of times. The towns in the game are all fairly big but offer very little reason to explore outside of a few chests here or there.

As mentioned earlier that the story took a bit of time to really build up and the same could be said for the difficulty. While the game never really gets that difficult and for the most part is very easy, the difficulty does take a step up about the same time that the story starts the get interesting. However far too many of the levels and boss battles fall a bit flat as you can easily make your way through them without much hassle. Many of the battles in the game are won the second you summon your Knight as he does not get hurt very often.
In closing White Knight Chronicles is not flashy by any means, but its solid and it fills the long time void of traditional JRPGs nicely. It never really gets difficult enough for seasoned RPG fans such as myself and by the time the characters and story start to really develop, you are at the end of the game. However through all this I had a hard time putting the game down. The combat, which had a few tiny issues such has recycled enemy models, was overall a fun aspect of the game and there was plenty of customization to be had with binding and enhancements. The game receives an extra boost with a very solid online experience, a New Game+ option, and a pretty deep Georama system. With the word going around that DLC will be coming in the form of more online quests and parts for your Hometown, White Knight Chronicles should have very strong legs beyond the single player campaign. This RPG won’t wow you with graphics or story but what it will do is provide a good solid experience with an online that should remain populated for a while.

Another terrific title for the PS3. This game is underrated.
Keep in mind that you’ll probably spend more time platinuming this game than possibly any other. Estimates are currently ranging past the 500 hour mark from those who have been playing the japanese version for quite some time. I would be stunned if it actually only takes 500 hours, it may very well take 800 or more. I’m nearly at 80 hours so far, and I still only have 1 silver trophy. I have most of the bronze but only 1 silver.
This game deserves a lot more credit than it has gotten. I’m in love with it
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this game. I have already put in 70+ hours and I just beat the Story mode. If any other PSLS users have this game, feel free to add me (TheHater2).
Oh I build a warrior town because I am sick of all the minors town.
Have to look into this more.
somebody forgot to tell the red robot that his fly is down, what on earth?
