Activision has announced that the latest installment in the series, Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, will extend the Lego Star Wars experience, and is set for a release across multiple formats this fall, including the PS3 and PSP.
President of LucasArts Darell Rodriguez is thrilled to continue the franchise further:
The LEGO Star Wars franchise is a massive hit with fans, bringing in sales of over 20 million units worldwide. We’re thrilled to extend this experience to LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, delivering the humour and fun players expect from this award winning franchise.
Director at TT Games, Tom Stone explains working with LucasArts:
LucasArts is an amazing partner, and working with them on the next iteration of the LEGO Star Wars series continues to be a great experience. The team at TT is working hard at making this simply the best LEGO game ever with all new gameplay and features never before seen in a LEGO game.
Lego Star Wars III is penciled for an Autumn 2010 release.
I think Lucasarts should let TT make ALL the Star Wars games! Lego or not!
Yay more LEGOs I don’t know why I like these games so much but they are a blast especially co-op.
Is…is that…is that ‘Dark Helmet’ at the bottom of that pic?! COOL!!
I like playing this game multiplayer too! its a game good for the whole family
I prefer the title TT and Lego further rape the star wars franchise.
