The Force is with the LEGO Star Wars Franchise

Activision has announced that the latest installment in the series, Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, will extend the Lego Star Wars experience, and is set for a release across multiple formats this fall, including the PS3 and PSP.

President of LucasArts Darell Rodriguez is thrilled to continue the franchise further:

The LEGO Star Wars franchise is a massive hit with fans, bringing in sales of over 20 million units worldwide. We’re thrilled to extend this experience to LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, delivering the humour and fun players expect from this award winning franchise.

Director at TT Games, Tom Stone explains working with LucasArts:

Lego Star Wars III is penciled for an Autumn 2010 release.

    I think Lucasarts should let TT make ALL the Star Wars games! Lego or not!
