Battlefield: Bad Company 2’s executive producer Charles Magnusson, spoke this month about the shooter’s online component, saying the shooter’s online is better than MW2′s. Now the PS3M claims exactly the same.
PSM3 reports that DICE and EA’s Battlefield: Bad Company 2, “…feels more spontaneous and varied than your average shooter”, claiming the shooter is a better online game than Modern Warfare 2′s.
For our money, the best Battlefield yet is a better online game than Modern Warfare 2. The subtle innovation is obvious from our first game.
DICE have produced a game that could easily pull addicts away from Modern Warfare 2′s moreish paintball sessions.
The hotly anticipated shooter arrives on March 2 in North America and March 5 in Europe.
While I did have issues with the first game such as short campaign (beat it in 4 1/2 hours) and a multitude of online play issues from mics not working to game freezes and disconnect constantly, even I must admit that Bad Company 2 is head and shoulders better than the first. I have been in the beta and now the demo and I can’t seem to stop playing. I have been unhappy with MW2 and this game couldn’t have come along at a better time.
I’ll buy that. I’ve soured on Modern Warfare lately, even the online, but I’ve been loving the BBC2 demo.
I guess I’d have to try the demo first to make my mind up. I enjoyed the first game for a little bit but lost interest quickly. I hear the online in this one is almost identical to the first game so I’ll be surprised if DICE actually can beat MW2′s community…I dont think they understand that the kids playing that game are like crack addicts, if they go more than an hour without it they get all angry at the world and start breaking out in a cold sweat and shaking.
“moreish paintball sessions” – he has balls doesn’t he? He better hope BC2 delivers. I for one hope he is right and they dethrone MW2. Maybe then Activision will actually ask the developers to use some new ideas and innovation in their next Modern Warfare title instead of just telling them to re-release the same game with a little sharper looks and a single player campaign that probably took them 30 minutes to write. I will give them credit for Spec Ops though.
hello …
i really like this game, i may even buy my first FPS then .. LOL
cheers!
Been playing this demo and can say its well above anything MW2 brings to the table. Primarily I’m looking at the multiple types of vehicles that are great fun to use, and easy to use, all with the ability to have at least one teammate ride along with you. Also, the destructive environments are great, it really mixes up the strategy and playing field, and keeps the only map in the demo fresh, since theres always different holes in different walls. This completely eliminates the whole “campers” issue… campers won’t get any kills. Camping defensively works for a bit, until some realizes you’re sitting in that corner and decides to blow it up with one of numerous equipment options, be it C4, RPG, or tank rounds. The enormous maps really help keep the action flowing too, you rarely fight in the same area for more than five minutes before the bases get taken and move on to a completely new battleground down the street. Loving it. Seriously considering trading in all 3 CoD games I own to get this instead.
