Expect Killzone 3 Details In “Next Few Months”

02/11/2010 Written by Zak Islam

PlayStation 3 owners and fans should expect to see the first details on the highly sought for Killzone 3 in the “next few months”, according to the latest issue of the PSM3.

The magazine’s latest rumor column gives a hint of when to expect some more Killzone 3 information.

expect more on Guerilla’s FPS sequel over the next few months.

Over the next few months? That means it could very well be making its way to E3.

A previous report by the Official PlayStation Magazine last year stated that Killzone 3 is “reportedly deep in development”. A PSU forum user last month claimed to be acquiring some new Killzone 3 news.

I will have a LOT of Killzone 3 news next month. There was talk of trying to release the game by the end of 2010 to compete with Halo: Reach. I personally doubt that this will happen. I am almost certain we will see Killzone 3 Feb/March 2011. I can shed some more light on this next month.

Our predictions say that we will see some Killzone 3 in 2010! Stick with PlayStation LifeStyle as we cover anything that regarding Guerrilla’s shooter.

it would be kind of silly to try to put Killzone 3 in position to compete with Halo: Reach. We know that every FPS fan would buy the game on their respective console, so the 360 would end up selling more units simply because they have a larger user base…The fact of the matter is that even if Microsoft just put a Halo 3 disc in a Halo: Reach case all of the 360 morons would still buy it and call it the greatest game ever.

  2. KZ2 didnt really do it for me. The graphics were sick but the gameplay just wasnt my style. This news will hopefully bring good amounts of changes to the game, I’d like to get into the game the world they developed interests me but the controls just dont feel right to me.

I’ve had a feeling for a while we might see something of KZ3 at E3 this year, the gathering rumours just make that feeling stronger.

It’s too soon. Wait another year to draw up business and hype. KZ3 in late 2011 or even 2012 I can be excited and look forward too.

Agreed, the weighted controls ruined the game and multiplayer was nothing but bot and rocket launcher spamming….hopefully GG learned their lesson and fixed that trash in Killzone 3……

    LOL right on!

  7. i am expecting KZ3 to be released around the same time KZ2 was. 2010 is too early IMO. its barely been a year

  8. @skullking123… The article even says it’s expected for a Early 2011 release. Two years is a good development cycle. It won’t take 4 or 5 years like KZ2 took, because they don’t have to build an engine from scratch like they did with KZ2.

Last time Sony decided to shortcut Microsoft, it was in late 2004 when Killzone 1 got unleashed a week before Halo 2 — although it was initially planned for an early 2005 release, and as such the game obviously lacked at least three months of optimization time.

I hope it doesn’t happen again with Killzone 3.

does anyone know how many copies of kz2 were sold? just curious.

Another KillZone game would be awesome. I like KillZone 2 and it’s my number 1 FPS game so far.

I enjoyed KZ2 – the campaign was a bit short but the graphics were awesome. THe Helghast are the coolest baddies… I only stopped playing the Multiplayer cos none of my mates took to it.

I for one will get KZ3 – probably just for the campaign.

    @ WestSiide, Kz2 sold over 2 millions.
