Ubisoft’s Next Creed Will Surprise You
When Ubisoft announced last month that another Assassin’s Creed game would hit within the next year, fans were shocked. Ubisoft then mentioned that the new title would feature multiplayer, fans didn’t know what to think. It seems Ubisoft still has some surprises up their sleeves and they don’t mind teasing you about them.
Speaking to P3Zine, Ubisoft Europe MD Alain Corre believes fans of the series will be surprised about the next Assassin’s Creed title.
For next year we have announced a few weeks ago that we’ve got a new Assassin’s Creed game – the next iteration that will surprise everybody – and we believe that will be a big success as well. We need to put enough energy and talent into each new game, so it can become better than the previous one.
What kind of surprises exactly? Well, here’s what we do know.
- The title will feature Ezio Auditore as the main character, so we know who we should be playing as. The game will be following his storyline after the shocking ending of AC 2, but if I remember correctly, isn’t Ezio close to 40 at that point?
- It will have multiplayer ‘modes’.
- It will be a full-priced game.
And that’s about it. A team of over 400 developers worked on Assassin’s Creed 2 alone, see we can’t imagine how many people will be needed to pump out another triple A title like the AC series in such a short time.

its hard to say if this will be great considering such the short amount of time ac2and this will be released… i cant imagine how they will incorporate the multiplayer but from the looks of it…hopefully the new ac will be more action packed then the first 2
Liked the first one, LOVED the second one. I just hope this isn’t yet another case of adding in multi-player where it doesn’t fit.
I’m with you, Capt. Fodder. I liked the first one, even with its repetitive gameplay (the storyline ruled) and loved the second game. I have interest in the multiplayer mode…don’t let us down, Ubisoft!
i think it’ll be a repump, a dlc pack on bd plus multiplayer.
multiplayer doesn’t need to be in every game. (cough cough,Bioshock 2) Especially this one!
I almost hated the first. The story felt like it was was thrown together, and that they’d just really address it in the sequel. Unsatisfying x 10.
On topic though, my first thought about this new title was that it woudl take place in modern times. Hence why we would “never see it coming”… something with the machine breaking and you get your ancestor’s personality. That’s where I’m puttin my money.
within the next year? ohhhh i dunno about this, that seems a bit quick, doesn’t it? I’ll be keeping my eye on this though.
yeah um i think deve’s need to allow more time for their games to be made right. I mean only a year,,.. really? Come onn It’d be best to wait longer for a better product.. Watch it get delayed right before release >_>
