Yakuza 3 is fighting to take the West by storm, just as it did in Japan. The open-world gangster game hopes to beat your hard earned money out of you, in a month already brimming with great releases. In this latest trailer, you’ll meet some of the characters that might be waiting outside your home if you don’t buy the game when it finally makes its debut outside of Japan…
Yakuza 3’s demo is punching up the PlayStation store right now, make sure to head over to the PlayStation Store and get a taste of blood before the game hits stores.
To follow up on my previous comments… I have now tried the demo. I have no idea why anyone is excited about this. I haven’t played a game with a fighting system this dated since PS1. Actually, I think the original Tekken still had a more fluid and dynamic fighting system than this, and it was pretty freakin’ stiff. If you like this,,, well,,, have fun – I’ll be playing GOW3.
I tried the demo too and was horribly disappointed. Why on earth is part of the games dialogue in text only?? It feels like an RPG, only the characters themselves don’t speak the words, it’s just silence while a computer types out the dialogue. I could understand if they actually gave you some dialogue choices, but since they don’t I cannot figure out why they don’t have the characters speaking the dialogue. I don’t want to read all of that, I found myself just hitting “X” to try to skip through it as fast as possible. I also agree with BigWoop, the fighting system does feel very dated. Not to mention it shouldn’t take 5 minutes to beat up one guy. I expect this game to get horrible reviews. I can’t believe that the Japanese would actually be enjoying this game.
