The PSP Go launch in Europe offered various promotions, with a lot of free games to go around. It was unfortunate though, as North American’s who purchased the Go had only Rock Band Unplugged Lite. A PSP Go promotion has now begun in North America and it looks to make up for the original promotion.
The US PlayStation Blog has announced a new promotion for future PSP Go owners. If you purchase the newest portable from Sony between Thursday, February 18, 2010 and Sunday, March 21, 2010, you get the choice of a free game. The choice of game is limited to two great PSP titles: Assassin’s Creed Bloodlines and LittleBigPlanet PSP. After you register your purchased PSP Go, you will receive an email from SCEA that enables the download for the free game.
So if your in the market for a great portable gaming device, now is a great time to Go.
Makes me feel even better about buying one right when it came out. Thanks for the demo though. /end sarcasm
I agree with #82 on this one. It should be a free game for everyone who bought this paper weight because all we got in NA was gimped rockband (not even a full game).
The way I see it all this will do is piss off early adopters and not increase sales at all.
Good one Sony.
@ both of you
you pay what you get for…you HAD to have it the first day when you knew that over time, bundles will come out, prices will go down, perks will get better….i dont understand how you can be upset when you know these things happen…i am certainly not pissed that ps3 slims are now bundled with ps3 slims when ive only had mine for a few months….you paid to get it at launch…sometimes its best to play the waiting game
does this work for people who bought their psp go’s the first day??
It may be possible if you haven’t registered it yet.
how is it best to play the waiting game? That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. The PSP Go itself is an insult to everyone who bought the early three models, why would I want to buy another product from sony now I know I should except them to bring out out at least another three designs,
there’s rumoured to even be a PSP Go 2, which is just taking the piss. I’ll be waiting for the PSP Go 3.
If they’d waited instead of bringing out the PSP to conincide with the DS then we wouldn’t be having these problems. EVERYONE who ever bought a PSP should be getting this offer.
It’s only fair, we should we get grouped out because we choose to buy the 3000/2000/1000 models while they were new without understanding sony’s pathtic business plans. Nintendo are the same before you wii fanboys get all high and mighty. DS/DS Lite/DS I/ DS I XL
It drives me insane, BRING OUT ONE F**KING CONSOLE/HANDHELD FOR ONE F**CKING GENERATION! I don’t want to have to wait ten years just to find out if a PS4 Slim or a XBOX 720 Elite is coming out.
@timewarp
what i meant was that sometimes you have to make decisions based on expectations….doing research before making a purchase can sometimes help you make the better decision…if you know theres a keynote coming up, wait for the keynote because theres probably a better deal on its way….if you anticipate a bundle or price drop, do research to see if it might happen or just wait to see if it does…..im just saying that its a persons choice to buy something when it comes out rather than wait to see if a better deal comes along
your point about constantly releasing the same console is valid…rereleasing the same thing over and over is annoying, but at the same time, you bought into it….its only natural that eventually the psp go would get some kind of promotion in the US…if you want that promotion, wait for it…otherwise buy the system and be happy with what you bought instead of complaining about what you didnt buy……no one ever said you had to have every version of psp that has the same games (with the exception of psp go because of the download only)….rock band lite may have been a shitty deal but thats what they had when you bought it
