In the next Assassin’s Creed title: Ezio will return, Rome is the setting, and it will have multiplayer. Yes, there are probably many of you single player fanatics in a fit of rage at this news. Many probably believe that it’s a simple tacked on mode to get more sales, but it seems Ubisoft is putting more thought into the next title then just multiplayer.
Ubisoft has announced that the next Assassin’s Creed title will have a full single player campaign, along with the already confirmed multiplayer mode. The title is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, who developed the previous titles in the series. Ubisoft creative director Patrice Desilets also revealed that the multiplayer in the title will have “narrative justification.” It’s expected that the game will hit by the end of March 2011.

multiplayer would be awesome I think ^^
im still trying to figure out how they would incorporate a multiplayer in this…would it be more like me and a friend running round killing npc char. and doing missions or something more… id be surprised if it was anything more intricate
I just hope it’s nothing like the bioshock multiplayer and more like uncharted.
i don’t care what they say, it’s still going to be a tacked on piece of crap, what do you think ubisoft’s going to say? “We only used multiplayer becasue everyone else is doing it and it seems to make games look like their bigger then they actually are” which would be the honest answer, here’s looking at you Modern warfare 2.
time… id much rather purchase a game that has more replayability such as multiplayer then just a single player game with a buncha npc’s… i try not to buy games that arent multiplayer for that sheer fact…with thte exception of a few (gow..ac2)
Bah – this is not Assassin’s Creed III by the way, it’s just an addition to Assassin’s Creed II: Assassin’s Creed II Episodes. Am not really interested in this one.
wasen’t the AC2 episode the battle of forli and bonfire on the vanities though?
hmmm this could work out pretty good. I am expecting a White Knight Chronciles multiplayer. That you hook up with other players and complete missions etc…
If it’s onlne co-op, then great. If it’s a competitive mode, I don’t think they should be wasting there time. I know I won’t.
a great idea:
multiplayer through different times in history a campaign with one player in the renaissance, while the second player is controlling the present (of whoever the future generation assassin is in the hotseat) and then add some plot points, some sci fi jarble thanks makes it fit, and baby, you’ve got a stew goin!
shows how much perseus knows
