Future Publishing’s Official PlayStation Magazine had recently reported that their podcast was to reveal a new “special game.” The magazine’s editor Tim Clark himself has spoken about what game they would reveal. It may come as a bit of a surprise for some.
The Official PlayStation Magazine’s editor Tim Clark has told TSA the “special game” is the recently announced game by Codemasters.
the FPS under development by the guys behind Criterion’s Black. The title will be published by Codemasters and run on their EGO engine.
The PS2 shooter Black was created by Stuart Black. The game is to be detailed in next months Official PlayStation Magazine, could this finally be the next gen Black that the fans have been waiting for?
The podcast also teased the next Ghost Recon title. Here’s hoping we’ll also hear some new information on Ghost Recon: Future Solider, which fans hope they will see the introduction of a very promising tactical shooter.
meh
I never “got” Black. The graphics and physics engines were ahead of their time, but the game itself was kinda bland to me. Black was also on Xbox wasn’t it?
Couldn’t be a BLACK sequel. Criterion is already working on BLACK: Second Mission and as a subsidiary of EA, how could Codemasters be involved at all?
Maybe it’s because I haven’t played alot of FPS games, but I loved Black so much. I really hope this is a sequal for it, can’t wait
It’s the sequel, “White”.
I too thought EA owned Black. Is it from people who did black but left and went to codemasters?
Too many shooters. I’m gunna yawn this one off.
@yellowdart46: Even if that is the case, EA owns BLACK. Will it be somewhat of a spiritual sequel, maybe. But Criterion has been hiring for BLACK: Second Mission, so this won’t be a sequel.
