Sony Prepping MotorStorm 3 with Domain Registration
MotorStorm and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift are both technical hallmarks for Evolution Studios. Each has enjoyed a moderate level of success so it would only be natural for the franchise to continue. At the moment there has been no official word about a sequel for the MotorStorm franchise. The last time we ventured forth into the PS3‘s dangerous racing sport was in 2008. While we did receive a PS2 and PSP title in 2009, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift has not yet received a proper sequel. Looks like that’s about to change, though.
If you happened to stumble upon Motorstorm3.com, something peculiar may happen. By visiting the currently non-existing website, you will be redirected to the UK PlayStation website. The Gaming Liberty happened to catch this, and did some investigating of their own. Sony Europe has registered MotorStorm 3, confirmed by a Who Is domain search. The domain was registered on January 19th 2010, and will expire exactly two years later, in 2012.

I hope this game gets the attention it deserves
they always had the best opening cinematics, the big desert party scenes were great, i wish the actual game had that feel to it. looking forward to what comes next.

Good news. I had a ton of fun with Pacific Rift, and if they come out with a sequel I’ll definitely buy it.
pacific drift was a great game!! id get a sequel…they need to amp it up a little more though
I never really got into these games. I got the first Motorstorm when I got my PS3 but barely played it and only played the demo of Pacific Rift. I can’t say there were things I didn’t really like about it, just never got into it…I love Dirt 2 though, so I’m not against off road racing altogether.
I’ve loved every Motorstorm game so far, including the PSP version.
Motorstorm 3 will be most welcome.
Either at GDC or the upcoming Sony event. That when I think we will see MotorStorm 3. With them not releasing a MotorStrom last year for the PS3, I hope the improve the hell out of this game.
