Uncharted 2 and The Tale of Success
When Naughty Dog first released footage of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves back at the Spike TV Video Game Awards in late 2008, we knew it was going to be something special. How special, you ask? Sony has released some official numbers, and you’d better be ready to pick your jaw up off the ground.
Thanks to Scott Rohde, VP of Product Development at SCEA, we know that Uncharted 2 has sold over 3.5 Million Copies worldwide, which happens to make it the fastest selling first-party game ever on the PS3. It has an online user base of over 1.5 million players–and get this–has won over 150 Industry awards, including the Annual Interactive Achievement Award for Game of the Year.
I think it’s safe to say that Naughty Dog is now one of the most highly regarded and respected developers out there today. Uncharted 1 and 2 are some of the best games on the PlayStation 3. Look at the upgrade from the first game to the second–it’s safe to say that Naughty Dog is going to top what they did with Among Thieves and blow us and the industry away once again when they finally show Uncharted 3 to the world.
Uncharted 2 deserves every award and copy that it sells. If you haven’t picked up the game yet, what are you waiting for? You need proof? And people say PS3 games don’t sale well. It’s good to see ND’s hard work pay off.
You know what !, i huge huge fan of Tomb Raider series and Resident Evil series. I got all TR and RE games as a collection and now the first time Uncharted series is now added to my collection, Uncharted is probaly best game ever made, Uncharted and Tomb raider is kinda simimar

Let’s not forget Crash Bandicoot and Jak and Dexter.
Naughty Dog has been rumored to be working on Jak and Dexter as well as the Uncharted series, so here’s to hoping for Jak 4.
But no chance for Crash Bandicoot *tear*.
I wonldnt call it a tale of success but an epic of…..I can’t think of a word but you get the point.
Yeah Uncharted 2 is simply one of the best games I ever played. Lol I even bought all their DLCs (although I bought the wrong version of Sony heroes pack) and looking forward to their upcoming massive DLC. I was wondering about the number of the awards it received though, thanks for telling me. 150 awards, wow!

UC2 will be the best game i will play soon, then others also LOL (HR, GOW, TLG, etc,,,)
I need to re-start UC1 for the trophies & bonus, then will start UC2…
ND is one of my favs developer, i can’t wait to try other things from them & an eventual UC3…

you know I heard that too. I don’t know if it’s anymore of a rumor than it is just timing. Naughty Dog could sure go for working on more than one IP a generation. So I hope they are in fact working on Jak and Daxter and plan on releasing it later this year or early next year.
The next Jak and Daxter will be epic if they were able to come up with something as Masterful as Uncharted 2. Besides Jak and Daxter 3 was already epic enough
Oh and another thing, about Crash Bandicoot, I think they lost the rights to that, I think the rights belonged to Universal Studios, in which they were co-publishing or co-developing or something like that. Why do you think that after Crash Team Racing (Naughty Dog’s Last effort) the franchise went multi-platform. We won’t ever see another fully fledged Naughty Dog developed Crash Bandicoot game
Yeah because naughty dog don’t own the game. I don’t get why people think they’ll make another crash bandicoot as ND can’t even if they wanted, they sold it off to another games company which was a dumb move still though they can’t make a crash bandicoot game.
