The ESRB, with their pre-release ratings, are now known for spoiling announcements for various unknown titles. Case in point: it seems the return to Tecmo Bowl is imminent, thanks to a new listing made by the software rating company.
Tecmo Bowl Throwback has been rated by the ESRB. The title has been given an “E for Everyone” rating, and is described as “a top-down arcade-style football game in which players compete against teams around the country to become the ‘Tecmo Bowl Champion.’” No other information comes from the listing, but the game does “depict cheerleaders wearing low-cut tops while dancing,” as well as “a 2D swimsuit model with some exposed cleavage.” Oh, the horror. Check out the full listing below.

Ive still got Super Tecmo Bowl for my SNES… probably going to pick this up anyway though.
techmo bowl was my favorite game for about 6 months back in the day , if I wasn’t at home playing it on the snes I was popping quarters into the arcade version with the big ball controller
if they keep this to the original gameplay style it could be a big seller – I’ll plunk down some cash to buy it if it’s a reasonable price ( want to get nfl arcade on psn but it should be $8.99 , not $15 )
Yeah, but weren’t the Tecmo Bowls sidescrolling instead of top-down? Kinda defeats the whole Tecmo Bowl playing style.
