PlayStation LifeStyle Playlist 2/26/10
After yet another dreadful work week has past, and with that us gamers like to kick back and unwind by popping our favorite games into our favorite console. We here at PlayStation LifeStyle are no different. Find out what the PSLS staff will be playing this weekend, and share your very own weekend gaming playlist.
There are a ton of great games left to play before the onslaught that is March. This weekend I will be finishing up my review of Last Rebellion while also finding time to fit in Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce and Sypro: Dawn of the Dragon. I am also trying to complete the God of War Collection before the 3rd game comes out on the 16th. If I find enough time maybe some NHL 10 and Uncharted so that I can try and platinum it.
So now let’s dive in and see just what everyone else here at PSLS plans on playing this weekend.
Dan Massi – Author
I’ll be playing Modern Warfare 2 – because I’m absolutely addicted to it at the moment. I’ll also try to squeeze in some Bayonetta
Jonathan Leack – Editor
Currently playing through the God of War series for my first time with God of War Collection. I am finishing up God of War II and then going for platinum. Outstanding games by the way. I also got into the StarCraft 2 beta so I’m going to be practicing a bit while waiting for Final Fantasy XIII, God of War III and the other major titles of 2010.
Joseph Peterson – Forum Administrator
I’ll be playing a bit of Heavy Rain and White Knight Chronicles here and there if I manage to snag any free time. Both games are phenomenal so far. The story alone of Heavy Rain has me hooked. Then on top of that for my shooter fix I will be playing MAG with other PSLS’ers under the PSLS SVER Clan. Feel free to join up or ask for an invite. We could definitely use some more members.
Josh Fernandes – Social Media Manager
I will be going through my second play through of Heavy Rain, which you will be able to watch at justin.tv/playstation_lifestyle. I also got Bioshock 2 from Gamefly so I might play some of that, as well. I never played through the first Bioshock, so i’m really excited to start playing it. I’m still trying to decide on whether or not im going to get Greed Corp….I gotta watch my money with GOW 3, Yakuza 3, and FF13 coming out soon

I’ll be playing the heck out of Heavy Rain, trying to get all the trophies. Other than that, I don’t see myself playing any other games. I may purchase Assassin’s Creed 2 for enjoyment.
Louis Edwards – Author
We are having friends over so we will be breaking out the latest edition of ”Karaoke Revolution” and “SingStar” (gotta love those imported wireless mics). If I can get some alone time with the PS3, I’ll be working on my 3rd playthrough of “Heavy Rain”. I’ve seen 2 different endings so far, but I noticed that there are scenes that seem to have multiple endings as well.
Mike Hartnett – Author
I’m still trying to decide which PS3 game to snag amongst the plethora of awesome titles which have come out recently. Currently though, I’m tearing through Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection. I just got the platinum trophy for that game and am now on a Streets of Rage binge! Man, that series really does rock! I’ll probably hop into Burnout Paradise as well for some freeburning action, you just can’t beat it!
Paulmichael Contreras – Author
On my PS3, I’ll try to finish my first playthrough of Heavy Rain. So far so good! I’m also going to hop back on MAG, I wish I had more time to invest there. Gotta play Uncharted 2 online what with that new DLC pack releasing and all. I finally Platinum’d Ratchet and Clank Future: ACiT, but I’m still going to load that up to see what each weapon does at their maximum Omega levels! My PSP will likely be playing SOCOM: FTB3 and some Pinball Heroes, and maybe some Minis. Why can’t this be another three-day weekend?
Richard Allen – VP/Managing Editor
You will find me on the battlefields of MAG with my Apex 100 gunning down SVER/Valor forces. My Clan has grown to about 40 Raven and MAG is so much more fun with you have a squad of 8 cooperative guys with Mics. I will likely start another play-through of Heavy Rain and I may even intentionally fail all QTEs just to see how quickly I can kill off the cast. Hopefully I will have a little time to finally Platinum Caldron Game’s masterpeice – Jurassic: The Hunted.
Ryan Ordway – Technology Systems
I am going to run through all of the Borderlands DLC now that the level cap was raised. Im going to play some more Heavy Rain if I get some big blocks of time to play uninterrupted. And I might try out the Bioshock 2 multiplayer. On the PSP side, nothing touches my PSP but Monster Hunter Freedom Unite!
Sebastian Moss – European PR/Contributing Editor
I’ll be finally getting my hands on Heavy Rain, and plan on trying to complete this beauty in one go. However, if local postage fails yet again I’ll borrow the GOW Collection off a friend and replay the greatest games of the last generation in preparation for the beast of a game that is GOW 3.

I will be playing a lot of Heavy Rain and thats really about it. The game has really captured my attention and I just can’t seem to turn it off.
Zak Islam – Author
I’ll be preparing myself to play after months of anticipation and not looking into any gameplay or reviews of it, Heavy Rain. I also might pop in to some Killzone 2 online. Anyone who wants to get their ass beaten at it, email me to get some weekend action.

@Josh Fernandes–Play Bioshock 1 through its entirety. It is legitimately one of the best stories told through the video game medium–and it would make a good non-game story also!
I’m going to try to finish Bioshock 2 (which I like, but not as well as the first one) and maybe some Borderlands with my friends.

I guess im one of the few that wont be playing Heavy Rain this weekend, I already beat it and platinum it. A very good story and i loved some endings and shed a tear at others.. I guess i will be getting back in to darksiders had it for weeks, and some uncharted 2 online and offline…
Good to see at least one author is playing the Starcraft 2 beta.
It was hard for me to get a key, and no one I know even has one, only reason I got a key was from a free giveaway.
It’s pretty insane how Blizzard doesn’t do anything about this, like pass out more invites. Oh well. Heavy Rain
I’ll be finishing god of war ( finally – got the ps3 collection because I had never played gow2 so played that first – now playing 1 for the first time in ages )
I’ll also be playing mahjong tales 2 ps3 mini and some age of booty too probably .
I’m trying to get my platinum on Need For Speed Shift, but I’m getting so damned sick of all these races where you’re supposed to get 1,800 points, which forces you to turn every race into a demolition derby (since you get “aggression” points for hitting other cars). And those drift races – even if I win by 1,000 points, they’re still no fun. And there’s a million of them. I definitely need a break from that game right now. Maybe I’ll start on Bioshock, or one of the other games in my backlog collection.
I’m also about 75 hours into Final Fantasy XII. Still fun, but I notice I’ve been playing less and less of it lately.
