Alpha Protocol Box Art is Ready for Action

02/28/2010 Written by Thomas Williams

Sega and Obisidian Entertainment have set the date for Alpha Protocol’s release. Now that it’s official, it’s time to re-hype their ‘Espionage RPG’ before it moves from the shadows on June 1. The new box art has been unveiled and it’s a major improvement over the original.

Don’t believe me? Check out the original box art Sega had for the game.

Pretty lame, am I right? Now check out the new and ‘reloaded’ box art.

Now that’s how you re-imagine the box art for an ‘Espionage RPG’!!!

If you want to see more about the game, Check out the recently released ‘A Man Alone’ trailer for all the details you need.

Alpha Protocol arrives on June 1 in the US, May 28 in Europe, and Australia on May 27.

Another cover art comparing article?? While I admit the new art is better, I still wouldn’t have had any issue with the first.

We get it, people can’t care about what the cover of their game looks like even if they are just commenting on it and not factoring it into their opinion of the game itself. With that said, this is showing you that what they had the box art as, then what they changed it to, not a poll about them. There isn’t a question at the end “which do you think is better?” theres: they changed it, its awesome, this is what you look for in the store.

To me the older cover looks too last gen and I think they changed it for the better.

Johnny – have I ever said that I thought the cover was actually stopping those who complain about it from buying it??? No! I’m just sick of people complaining and saying they would rather import a different version or print one off or whatever. If people have the right to complain about cover art I damn well have a right to complain about them complaining. I get it Johhny, you like to call people out and no one gets to do it but you…I don’t actually have a problem with the article itself, just the sickening comments that usually follow. This article hasn’t had a problem because people like it better than the original. It only really bothered me when people were whining so much when the North American Heavy Rain cover looked “worse” than the European one.

By the way “There isn’t a question at the end ‘which do you think is better?’” If they weren’t trying to provoke some comparison they would only put the new official cover art, not the old as well, and they wouldn’t write lines like “Pretty lame, am I right? Now check out the new and ‘reloaded’ box art.” Like I said in my first comment I admit the new one looks better, but if you were in a store looking at games would you really leave the original on the shelf because of how it looks?? They both have spies on them, and they both say right on the front “The Espionage RPG.” If you want an espionage RPG you would pick it up with either cover art.
