One of the most anticipated and creative games this year, is United Front Games‘ kart-racing title ModNation Racers. It fits perfectly within the ’Play. Create. Share.’ “genre” that was ushered in by LittleBigPlanet. The latest trailer for the PlayStation 3 exclusive shows us why.
Along with a new trailer for the colorful racer, brand new screenshots have also been released via the EU PlayStation Blog.
The trailer features the latest and wackiest new track weapons for the game. Ranging from avoiding monster-sized barrels to jumping across a bunch of camels! View the explosive video and screens below.

it looks like it’s getting better, hard to argue when they add a giant camel to the mix.

When is this game releasing? Before you know it Spring will be gone, and we’ll hear about how this game got delayed to Support “Arc” and 3D. I wouldn’t be surprised. First day buy for me. I don’t have a single racing game in my collection, let alone Kart Racers.
The beta turned me away from this game. Hopefully it gets better, but it’s not for me.

Right now it’s listed for a late June release, but I don’t think they have made it official yet. I don’t think they will delay this one for Arc support just because it would be easy enough to add with a patch later on…
I can’t wait for this game. I love a good kart racer. I actually rented Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing and I have to say it is pretty awesome, but it is only serving as something to hold me over until ModNation comes out.
@robotron,
You shouldnt base your opinions off of a beta. The beta wasnt even half of what the game can do or even will be. The beta was mostly to get people hyped for it, its functionality was not everything the game will be able to do.
@The Queef Sisters
I agree. Loads of people were bashing MAG solely because of the Beta
I played the demo, looks like an interesting game.
@ Sisters
I agree also. The demo was limited and just LOOK at what people did with the small amount of tools they had to use. Just imagine how epic this game will be when finally released. I can’t wait!
