PSP Go Sheds Some Pounds With UK Discount

03/06/2010 Written by Matt Baker

The PSP Go is undoubtedly one of the best handhelds available on the market. Even with its sleek appearance and numerous features, the PSP Go has turned many potential buyers away from purchasing the portable device with its hefty price tag. However, one UK retailer is putting the PSP Go’s price tag on a diet, to shed some pounds.

The recommended US retail price of the $249 and RRP of £224.99 in the UK has kept many gamers from buying a PSP Go. However, Amazon UK has the White PSP Go listed at a reasonable and affordable price tag of £149.99; a whooping £75 off the RRP. On top of the tempting price, the “Free Super Save Delivery” from the world’s largest online retailer applies for the offer, making the deal sweeter than it already is.

If the White PSP Go is not your cup of tea, Amazon UK is also listing the Black PSP Go at a reduced price of £179.99. Not quite as much savings at the White PSP Go, but still, a savings of £45 is still enough to make the price more palatable.

Many other online retailers are not so generous, though. Play.com, HMV, and UK’s biggest gaming retailer GAME has the PSP Go priced at £199.99. So be sure to grab this great gaming gadget from Amazon before the price changes or stock gets sold out. Go!

Still not fancy buying one over my original phat.

I picked one up at $160 (or was it $170???) and I sold it recently $140.
I went back to my 2000. The Go just reminds me of so many Nintendo projects of the past as far as support is concerned(hello e-reader) which means it’s time to move on.

Man do we need that in the US, but it might already be too late and all the fans have felt the sting of the 249.99 price tag and are totally put off by it.
