Yakuza 3 Trailer Kicks Back to the Past

Yakuza 3 is finally on the cusp of finally being released to the West. Sega‘s new trailer takes a step back to recount some of Kazuma Kiryu’s struggles through Yakuza 1 and 2.  It has been since 2008 since we last saw Kazuma this new trailer brings back a sense of nostalgia.

    Sega should make a yakuza collection, that’d be awesome.

    I played the demo for Yakuza 3 and thought it was trash…everything felt like it was 10 years old and I don’t enjoy it when I have to read dialogue instead of having the characters speaking it.

    @giese095 It does feel like a slightly dated brawler, and the dialogue system does seem archaic but the game’s charm lies primarily in it’s atmospheric presentation. I’ve fell in love with the series almost immediately after buying the first game for PS2 on a whim that it’d be a good waste of time. I was not disappointed. The demo did feel a lot like the first two games, as well.

  4. I gotta agree with giese – I just don’t see the appeal in this game at all, that was before and after trying the demo.
