If you cling to your guitar controller peripherals like a little baby and love to rock out, you’ll be overjoyed to know that Viacom CEO and President Philippe Dauman has confirmed that Harmonix is currently working on Rock Band 3 and has it slated for a 2010 holiday release.
The news came via a tweet by John T. Drake, Program Manager for the Rock Band Network and Manager of Communications for Rock Band:
Viacom CEO and President Philippe Dauman has confirmed that Harmonix is working on Rock Band 3, for release Holiday 2010! WOOO!
Short, sweet and to the point. With Rock Band’s online library of music growing bigger and bigger with each passing week, there truly is something for everyone. For those about to rock (digitally), we salute you!

I had a lot of fun with Rock Band when I was still in college and had friends over all the time, but now that I’m out of school the opportunity to play doesn’t present itself as often. If they do something really amazing this time around I might still get it but they will have to let me import all of my music from every other version of Rock Band that I have imported into RB2 in order for me to even consider it.

Yep! Song backwards compatability is a must for me to buy. That’s one of the most important reasons I stayed with the Rock Band franchise.
so basically they just want to charge people another 100 bucks for the new generation of equipment but its basically the same game. Nah I’ll stick with rock band 2.
zzzzzzz
