Monkey Island SE Finding Its Way to PSN

03/12/2010 Written by Cameron Teague

Well as you know, we reported a few days ago that Monkey Island 2 would be making its way to the PlayStation Network in the future.  This left many wondering if the first game, which released for the XBLA some time ago, would ever be ported over as well.  Well don’t worry your pretty little heads anymore as Monkey Island Special Edition has been announced for the PSN.

The announcement came from Ubisoft at this years Game Development Conference.  This is terrific news for anyone who has missed out on the series or would like to go back and play the rest as now PS3 owners will be able to enjoy both games.

Excellent! Day one for me- I’ve heard too many good things about this to NOT give it a go.

  3. I’m so happy about this. Can’t wait to have both Monkey Island SEs on my PS3. Especially since Monkey Island 1 is my favorite traditional point and click adventure game!

“never pay more than 20 bucks for a computer game” That was so random.

Anyways I have never played this game so I don’t know if I will get it.

I played and beat this on Xbox 360. Terrific game, and I loved the fact you could change from classic/updated graphics on the fly. Can’t wait to buy this!
