Naughty Dog Wants Uncharted on PSP
At the time of its release, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was one of the most beautiful games of its time. Two years later, in 2009, the sequel Among Thieves forever raised the bar in graphics, storytelling, and gameplay. Many high quality PS3 titles have ended up in some shape or form on its cousin, the PSP. Now it seems like Uncharted may be charted for that same course.
Speaking to Joystiq, Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells expressed interest of Uncharted on handhelds.
“I think it would be fantastic to see the game (move) onto a handheld system. Each one of the episodes is sort of like a standalone thing and I think we could do that pretty easily. If we can find a partner to work with, I’d love to do that … we definitely wouldn’t do it ourselves. We’re trying to just focus on the PS3 technology and platform right now. But, if we can’t find a partner, then maybe we’re going to have to find a budget ourselves.”

Step up Sony and get this on the R&D budget for ND…. hop hop… I would love to have it on the PSP so that you can take the game out into the world and show it off to others instead of sitting on a couch or in a retail store being bothered by others…

It would be great to expand the series to psp. Ready At Dawn did pretty good with Chains of Olympus, so lets hope they go for it.
This is exactly how Sony needs to build up the PSP. Have separate devs devoted to the PSP that create separate entries in the big PS3 franchises for the PSP.
it cant be done psp.ps3 isnt fully exposed as oppesed to psp(between ps1 and ps2).character models will suffer from blur and lot of destruction just cant be done on psp like they did in ps3….
Until they can step up the graphics on the PSP, why would anyone want a Uncharted game. Games like Assassin’s Creed and Resistance Retribution suffered because of the port. Yeah they were an alright addition to the PSP library but wasting UC3 time on a system that isn’t worth it is insane. Now adding additional people or outside studio to work on this title is a great idea. That way that can keep push that PS3 tech to another level. It would be pretty bad ass if they had the time to do the same on the PSP but PS3 is white hot now.
