Polyphony Digital’s long awaited racing sim Gran Turismo 5 is finally approaching the finish line. However, it seems development took an unexpected turn somewhere along the track, as the game will be compatible with the upcoming PS3 motion controller, the PlayStation Move.
According to the official US PlayStation website under the ‘featured games’ listed under PlayStation Move, Gran Turismo 5 is to be compatible with the new device. That’s not all, Disney’s own racer, Split Second has also been listed as a ‘featured game’.
PlayStation Move was just revealed this past week at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco and along with it, a list of games. Among those games was ModNation Racers, yet another Sony racer. So it’s no surprise that the PlayStation Move would be compatible with other racing games.
Look for many more PlayStation Move games, from the 36 and counting publishers supporting the device, to be revealed throughout the year leading up to it’s Fall launch.
im not really sure how it will work , i plan on geting a a wheel for it instead.
The rumor is false. The Featured Games show up for all accessories.
So the games support SingStar microphones as well?

off-top:
I just realize you guys are still using wordpress. Didn’t you guys made a transition away from wordpress when you last redesign the site?
Cool, but I’ll mostly end up using the analog control scheme.
unless they release a steering wheel that you can insert the Move into like the Wii has for Mario Kart I don’t really understand how this would work or why someone would want to use it. Twisting your hand around with a wand in it isn’t going to add to the realism or make it more fun.
GT5 was always said to support the Move, ever since the latter’s announcement. It’s even going to feature head tracking and 3D. Old news and not surprising.
blah
AznSniper, singstar mics are basically just USB microphones, so yes they would work.
So Microshock, I suppose Gran Turismo 5, ModNation Racers, Split/Second and every other game that is listed as a “Featured Game” on the PlayStation Move and SingStar Microphones pages are going to use an AC Adapter and Blu-ray Remote too?
As AznSniper pointed out, the “Featured Games” listed on every accessory at PlayStation.com is exactly the same and has no relation to the actual accessory. It was a mistake to post this “news”.
i agree who cares , i want a real relase date!
