“Top Secret” PS3 Racing Game to be Revealed Next Month

Yesterday, PlayStation LifeStyle reported on a “massive” PlayStation sequel. The Official PlayStation Magazine UK revealed that their next issue would reveal the massive game, and something else as well.
GOONL!NE has snapped yet another picture of the newest issue revealing that a top-secret racing title is being unveiled in their April issue. The game is said to “threaten” Gran Turismo 5′s racing crown.
Could the title be MotorStorm 3, Twisted Metal, or the new Need for Speed? If the title can threaten GT5, what can we assume it threatens it with? Stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle for more information.

Maybe it’s that Eutechnyx (Ferrari Challenge, Supercar Challenge) racing game that was teased months ago. But it could be Dirt 3 (recently teased by Codemasters) or the new Need for Speed: but for threatening GT5′s racing crown it must be something really huge…
That’s obvious, it’s Gran Turismo 6.
Ridge Racer 8, anyone?
Well one logical conclusion is that it will be an exclusive title! Anything multi-platform won’t even come close to touching Gran Turismo 5 (well graphically anyway!).
But tbh i’m only really interested in hearing more of TDU2 right now!
I think it’s safe to say that if it threatens GT5 at all it isn’t Motorstorm or Twisted Metal PS3 just because of the nature of those two games, they just aren’t made to be the best driving simulators ever. The next Need for Speed is possible, but who knows what it will actually be.
it will be motor storm 3 , didn’t they just run a story about motorstorm3.com being regisitred and it had somthing to do with playstation uk magazine? if it is motorstorm 3 , hopefully they have taken every thing they’ve learned from the last 2 games and the 3rd one will be great.
Um, there is no game that can ‘threaten’ Gran Turismo, let alone another racing game. The fanbase is vastly too large and too focused on GT. Seems like a ludicrous statement to make, given the sales history of the franchise.
Is there another game that could get people excited? Of course. But, ‘threaten’ Gran Turismo?? Uh…no.

I’ll go with motorstorm 3 too, although something from codemasters would be nice.
I’m putting my money on Forza IV.
I would say Midnight Club, but since it says ps3 racing game than maybe I shouldn’t count on it.

I know it isn’t this game because it’s a driving game and not a racing franchise, but it would make my day if the game was Driver. We haven’t heard anything from it except that it has been in development for a couple of years now and that Ubisoft stated in April 2009 they planned on releasing the new entry before March 2011. I’m a big fan of the first one and still play it on my PS3 time to time. Driv3r wasn’t really epic, but it did leave a cliffhanger at the end.
If they’re talking about a PS3 exclusive, it could possibly be another Formula 1 game.
I never played the first 2 Motorstorms but if they are making a 3rd one, I will buy it.
