Crysis 2 Will Look “Incredible” on PlayStation 3
Graphically speaking PlayStation 3 has begun to really hit its stirde. The console continues to impress time and time again. However, when the original Crysis came out in 2007, it melted off the faces of gamers and set a new standard. Now that Crysis 2 is coming to PS3, how good will it look? Crytek wishes to answer.
In the April 2010 issue of PlayStation: The Official Magazine, the publication caught up with Crytek, developer of both Crysis, and Crysis 2. Crytek says that the game will look “beautiful.” The magazine commented as well:
“These sexy Crysis 2 screenshots illustrates another tantalizing aspect: beautifully rendered light and shadowed effects. Crytek promises the game will look incredible on PS3 – and if their PC legacy is any indication, they’ll deliver.”
Crysis 2 presumably hits this fall, on PlayStation 3.

it wil be incredible on the PS3 but purely marvellous on PC, i shall check it out when done so to decide on which platform to own that one. yes it’s also coming to the xbox360 & i saw the vidoes of the CryEngine3 on all platforms, looks great on all!

can’t wait to see the finished product…and about the 360 version…if they plan on making it as good as the PS3 version I’m guessing they will be seeing another multiple disc game like FFXIII. Does it suck to only have a 360 or what?
That’s just publicity talk, this game will NOT look all that different from the 360 version. The only real winner here will be the PC version.
I’m not liking the coming of this game at all. It will only be flame bait for the 360 fanboys. Once those reviews say there isn’t a significant difference in both versions of the game, 360 fanboys will continue to be blinded of the PS3′s potential. We’ll have Crytek to thank for their marketing hype train bullshit.
^Killzone 2, Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 look miles better than the first Crysis already. Yeah, Crysis is photorealistic and has tons of effects consoles only dream to handle real-time…BUT, what do you do in Crysis? First of all a FPS with all the limitations in movement and animation you can expect from any other FPS, console or PC. Not much happening on screen either in terms of action, and all is happening in an scenario I wouldn’t define as “epic”, it’s more like a boring backdrop. And in this day an age, where games like Uncharted 2 and GoW3 blur the line between movies and games, Crysis’ presentation is pedestrian. It’s more an engine tester than a game.
The developer says the game will look “beautiful”. That’s a welcome change from all those other developers who say their games will look ordinary

No game looks better than Crysis. This is a fact since it is infinetely scalable. As new graphics cards come out, the game gets better
@turkadir20, you didn’t read my comment it seems… I thought I was very clear, but since you think a graphic card can make that game “better” as though it would add gameplay design, mechanics and physics, I rest my case…
Only about Crysis that is wrong is the AI on lower difficulties is kinda bad… other than that, the game is amazing and does combine cinematic quality. In Warhead anyway. I agree with you on KZ2, Uncharted and God of War though. They push the limits of gaming in general. But Crysis is an amazing game in itself.
I’m just excited to see what going to happen, if I’m dissappointed the so be it. Hoping for a build for the PS3 and not port crap that always leaves the PS3 gettin the shaft.
They have dedicated teams on all three platforms. Crytek has a lot of man power as the biggest independent developer in the world
I too do hope for a ps3 build so people can further see the potential of the ps3.
beauty is only skin deep. it will need to blend graphics with gameplay. sorry never played crysis. not a pc gamer or able to buy an expensive gaming pc to just play these games. that’s why I have an PS3

Crysis Metaphor:
Hot blonde girl, big butt, amazing figure, full bust…. and a constant blank smile- nothing to really keep you comin’ back when her *slightly* less attractive brunette sister comes onto the scene, who can successfully hold a conversation, and uses it to keep the seduction levels set on high.
