Sony‘s funny front man Kevin Butler has certainly solidified himself as the premier PlayStation spokesman. His witty commercials and advertisements have struck a chord in the gaming community. One of the latest batch of Butler ads has Kevin seemingly having a laugh about the competition.
Even though the PlayStation Move was just announced, Kevin has already starred in a commercial for the product. In this ad he points out the future uses of PlayStation move and makes a remark that sounds a lot like an Xbox 360 ad from once upon a time.
“who wants to pretend their hand is a gun, what is this 3rd grade?” @ 1:05

Which sounds an awful lot like an Xbox 360 ad from 2005. This ad was banned and featured a mass of people playing “guns” with their fingers.

That picture from Greek is priceless… i´ve laugh my ass of when i saw him on this episode.
I thought he was making fun of Natal? Weird … That Xbox 360 ad was awesome BTW.
I can’t believe that was a real attempt at advertising. I thought it was a spoof.
THE XBOX ONE 2 CLARIFY.
Well, it clearly shows just what the X-Box 360 is all about. Shooters. And that’s all it ever will be.
They have been pretty spot on with these commercials. Gotta love the direction they took.
I have to say I love Sony’s marketing strategy. Anyone can make a commercial with awesome game footage, but only Sony with Kevin Butler can show awesome footage while throwing in a couple jokes to really grab your attention at the same time. My favorite so far is the MLB 10 commercial with Joe Mauer, but I could be bias since I am a Minnesota Twins fan.
Why would that 360 commercial get banned? I see actual violence and guns in commercials on tv… I don’t understand.
I don’t remember it being banned in Canada. I think I remember seeing it. However, I didn’t see it more than a couple times.
@this isn’t really a commercial. You will not see this “ad” on TV
That Microsoft “ad” is ridiculous. They seriously thought people would buy into that? Kevin Butler couldn’t have said it better. “What is this the 3rd grade?”
Haha
