Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 5 has long been speculated to utilize new technology such as the PlayStation Move and 3D. The game’s creator has shed some light about incorporating the new tech into the PlayStation 3 exclusive.

Speaking to PlayStation magazine publication, PSM3, Polyphony Digital’s Kazunori Yamauchi certainly acknowledges the latest technology out there. When asked if Gran Turismo 5 would incorporate 3D or motion controls, Yamauchi replied:

We’re always attuned to new technologies. If there are display devices or peripherals that seem interesting, I’m sure we’ll work to support them.

While this is certainly intriguing news that added functionality may be making its way into the racer, could this inevitably have an impact on the release date?

no man …. i got my G27, i dont need PS Move for racing ….

  3. Why use move when you could get a steering wheel? These guys needs to Cut It Out and release this flipping game, its hurting me everytime I hear news

Didn’t they just say yesterday that it WOULDN’T be using either of those?

Whatever. That whole thing is really getting ridiculous.

Yeah every time PD talks about “New” technology we hear about a delay in the release later on down the road. It makes me wonder if the NA will ever see GT5 before Forza 5 meets the Xbox 720…

  6. Xael says:

Ha! Forza 5 on the Xbox720 might… just might give GT5 a run for it’s money

Yep it doesn’t seem like the Move would work very well with a racing game. As for 3d it won’t be a surprise.
