PSN Update Moves to Tuesday
We know how it is. It’s PSN Thursday and you’re uber exited to show off your newly downloaded DLC to all your Xbox 360-loving enemies friends only to find out that they’ve bested you by a full 24 hours. Well, boys and girls, pretty soon that’s all about the change.
Starting this May, North American gamers will be able to download all the new PSN updates on Tuesdays. That’s a full two days earlier than the current schedule and an entire day before those “friends” of yours can get their grimy paws on the stuff! The same basic rule applies for those in Europe, except they’ll receive PSN updates on Wednesdays.
Sure, it might take some getting used to releasing our PlayStation Store Preview a few days earlier than usual, but if it means some pretty amazing stuff to look forward to at the beginning of the week, it’s a sacrifice we’re willing to make.

Hopefully @ E3 we get to hear some things about that “Premium Playstation Network” thing i mean i would gladly pay for PSN to get better service. Anyone know if sony still plans to go through with this idea or did they give up on it?

This… doesn’t really make a difference to me. Its still once a week – who cares at what point of the week? I’m still going to wait another 7 days for the next one. Any way, there hasn’t been much of interest lately – no good demos – a bunch of lame themes and avatars… all I really want is more Q-games, thats the cream in the jelly doughnut that is PSN…

Hopefully this brings better updates also. And SONY is still missing the point that is pissing a lot of people off. They need to have a fix time each week when the store is going to be updated. Why can’t it be 6PM each Tuesday/Thursday each week. The Japanese PSN store updates every Thursday at 6AM easter time each and every week. The also have daily update through the week also for videos.
sure, until Microsoft starts paying off devs for one week timed exclusives on DLC so we still end up getting it after them…anyway, this is good news.
Man I don’t know, Tuesday was the day for Movies on PSN/and game releases. Now what am I gonna do with the rest of my week. It just makes the weekend seem further way without something to look forward to before weekend.
Does this mean Canada will get it Wednesday morning instead of Friday morning now?
that’ll make a lot of people happy , especially since they release everything else on tuesdays – dvd and blu-ray releases , ps3 disc games , psp games
now you will be able to rent or buy all your disc and digital media at the same time .
I always felt bad for someone with a pspGO who had to wait 2 days to play a game everyone else got on a tuesday .

I’m in Canada and never had to wait until friday – of course that could be another west coast perk ( along with the weather and scenery — 22 degrees today and sunny ) – latest I’ve seen the store update is 8pm and lats 2 weeks it’s been 4-5pm pacific time .

this is great, although I’m sure microsoft will retalliate in some way shape or form.
q-games does have great games!!! we need a new pixeljunk monsters!!!!!! tuesdays is awesome also, now i can get my content and play it throughout the week instead of waiting till thurs and only having the weekend
