Splinter Cell: Conviction on PS3–The Saga Continues

With all the rumors and speculation surrounding Splinter Cell: Conviction, one can only ponder whether Sam Fisher will eventually sneak onto the PlayStation 3. Multiple LinkdIn profiles have listed the game as a PS3 title, and a couple of online retailers have done the same. Now, Ubisoft themselves have poured even more fuel onto the already white hot flames of speculation.
The Ubisoft support site is currently listing Splinter Cell: Conviction for the PlayStation 3.
GamesRadar recently released a chart showing how long it took for each Splinter Cell to make its way to the PS3. By following that time-line, the chances are looking good for Splinter Cell: Conviction’s arrival on the PlayStation 3.

PSLS drop this already…almost no one cares about Splinter Cell(very few)spread the news only when it is confirmed for those few people to get a little bit happier not every now and then dropping an article is it coming or not?Who cares?
and on the other hand you drag along some very few people on the hype train and eventualy if it doesn’t come to the ps3 you’ll disappoint them a lot with all these articles.Seriously next time say something about it when it’s confirmed.You’ve put a lot on this subject and it doesn’t deserve it that much
yep that ubisoft database pic don’t mean anything, as those are just drop down menus doesnt necessary mean it is ps3 bound cos it has the word ps3 and said game on the menu! Until its officially confirmed, take this info as a pinch of salt!
You should change the line: “GamesRadar recently released a chart showing how long it took for each Splinter Cell to make its way to the PS3.” to “Sony systems.”
For all we know and care all of this could be for hyping the game more and nothing more…enough with Splinter Cell put something legitimate next time about the subject.
The big news would be if Mass Effect goes to the ps3…no one cares about a mediocre and generic 3rd person shooter which isn’t stealth anymore(don’t we have enough already?)
i really dont think anyone cares about splinter cell on the ps3 its not that its not a good game but i really dont give a shit about it coming on ps3! so stop it.
SC:C for the 360 is a great game, I hope it makes it’s way to the PS3.

Gotta agree with the majority of the people here, very FEW PS3 owners care about Splinter Cell. Splinter Cell doesn’t carry the same level of hype that a Metal Gear carries. Sure, once upon a time Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell were neck and neck in popularity but Kojima’s masterpiece has reached near legendary statis. Splinter Cell is merely, “meh”. If SC:C ever came out for PS3, I would merely give it a rent.
Now Mass Effect. Now thats another story.

I wouldnt count on it. I have this game on 360, its a blast. Dont kill me now I’m not saying its better than MGS4 cause its definetly not, but its a hell of a game none the less.
You guys definitely dont speak for everyone cause Spinter Cell has a HUGE following from PS players considering all the past games have also been on Sony systems. I know a bunch friends of mine that were considering getting an Xbox just for Conviction. Seriously enough with the SC hate, none of you have even played Conviction to warrant calling it mediocre and generic. The game got kickass reviews across the board.

Funny referencing the chart that showed games where the delay was different for different reasons and in no way proof of a timed exclusive. Also funny the people that forgot how there was the same amount of articles saying mass effect was coming. Apparently there’s only too much written about the game if you don’t like it. Double standards rock.
It was stupid when they did that as well JohnnyTruant, to be honest I couldn’t care less as every games review/critic does this, the whole “Big exclusive might make it’s way to another console” and I think it’s dumb,
PSLS can’t you just tell people about what has been confirmed and cut the bullsh*t with things that might not happen.
i dont know.. the reason this keeps popping back into news is because theres always some kind of evidence pointing to a ps3 release. as many have said, if its not released by a 1st party, expect it going multi plat.
ive never played a SC game before but ive read and seen good things about it. even when it was being showcased at e3 last year, it looked really good. so i dont understand the negativity coming from many of you. ive seen the game in action a YEAR ago at e3 and theres nothing “generic” looking about it. its like a xbox fan calling uncharted 2 “generic” without even playing it. or a tomb raider rip off. all of us who have played it knows how far from the truth a statement like that is, so lets not bash a game just because its not on the ps3… yet.

If you do not like the Splinter Cell: Conviction articles that we are posting – which pretty much every gaming site has posted about, by the way – then there is a simple solution: Don’t read it.
I want Splinter Cell… so if Ubisoft doesn’t release it for PS3 there’s going to be some serious SamFisher-ing for me to do to Ubisoft headquarters…
Fuck ubisoft! They had a popular youtuber’s account suspended.. They got him for copyright claims which is totally bogus since it was his game and he was only promoteing it basically..
Anyway i don’t plan on buying this if it indeed comes to ps3 this trash can stay on 360.

Okay for any ps3 fanboys reading this; Splinter Cell is not crap! Sure when you compare it to Metal Gear it pales but they are both different variations of stealth. MG = Tactical War Espionage and SC = Stealth Action Espionage. They’re both great games (Metal Gear is still better). And for any Bourne fans reading this; think of Splinter Cell Conviction as what the Bourne Conspiracy should have been like.
