Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Has Been Localized

04/21/2010 Written by Paulmichael Contreras

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is the first Metal Gear title to be directed by series creator Hideo Kojima. Set between the events of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, it is one of the highly-anticipated upcoming releases for the PlayStation Portable. A recent tweet by Hideo himself indicates that the game has been localized.

For the uninitiated, localization is just a fancy word for translated. So the game has been successfully translated into English (and perhaps other languages). With the game still a month and a half away from a North American release (and nine days longer for Europe), this gives the developer some time to make sure everything is perfect to ensure a trouble-free worldwide launch. Expect a review here when the game launches to see how a true Metal Gear game fairs on the PSP.
