can you say “graphics upgrade”? very nice screens.

    I am confused right now
Is LBP2 still a platformer? Based on the gameinformer info, they created a full C&C map within LBP2

  3. Iyashii says:

LBP2 is more a platform for making games rather than a platforming game as LBP is.

The direct action control sounds really nice.

    Can’t wait to get this.
    xD

this game is gonna be sweet

  5. @ the thought of the Command & Conquer map

I’m assuming that it still takes place on the same 2D Plane, BUT remember it has 3 layers. SO what they probably did was make the game on a giant wall and have the units move up and down (So the board is technically standing on its side, which in the LBP game view looks like a topdown shot). Just my thoughts, regardless I’m psyched! And YES, Definitely graphics upgrade- the screens look beautiful!

    NIIIIICE. this will be sweet

omg the one labeled lbp10 (on the lower left) really reminds me of the clank levels in the earlier R&C games with the little bots that follow you around and smite your enemies! *inspired* :D

  8. I was hoping for a graphical boost but doesn’t look that much improved

  9. Ah yeah I’ll still buy it but I was hoping for another piece of PS3 eye candy like UC2 ,KZ2 and GOW3. Ah well we can’t have them all

was I the only one who felt a little jipped by LBP? There wasn’t much content provided, sure there was customization, but as for character customizing, it felt a very limited for a game about creativity. And then if you wanted more content, you had to pay for it, create it yourself, or wait for someone to make it.

  11. Buddylee says:

The biggest problem with the first LBP was the lack for quality DLC provided by Media Molecule. The highlight was probably the MGS pack which was great. However, they leaned too much on the community to create the actual levels.

I always think it is really funny, when everyone judges a game on screen shots. They hardly give you any info on how the game will look. For all we know those pictures have been changed or something, and even still all that matters is IN GAME FOOTAGE, not a trailer. I want in game footage, but this game is probably going to be epic. Just like the first one was!

  13. @Rictor – yes, you are the only one. This game has over one million levels. ’nuff said.

  14. it looks more colorful and fun then the first. The machines look great.

  15. SpeCtR says:

rictor, what do you mean things werent creative, you could slap any sticker object or anything on your person to make them look different…you dont just have to buy the costumes..the possibilities were endless with making a person (also , ihope i can use all my old stuff from the first on on lbp2)

  16. @Spectr – with them claiming all the current levels are going to be carried over, I’d be really surprised if the rest of our items and costumes weren’t as well.

@geddesmond – if you look at the first picture with that furry creature, you can tell there is a major overhaul graphically. Nothing in the original has that level of detail to it.
