Sega’s highly anticipated Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 is just around the corner from its original summer release. Oh, wait, no it’s not. The episodic game was original slated for a release this summer, however, Sega have decided to push the date back a little further.
Sega have decided to extend the development time for Sonic 4 into the latter half of the year. The reason for the additional time is stated on a post on the Sega Europe website:
allow the Development Team to focus on ensuring overall high-quality throughout the game by continuing to tune, balance, and maintain the kind of polish that an important title like this demands, and ultimately providing fans with an unrivalled classic Sonic feel.
Sega have released a new trailer for Sonic 4: Episode 1, check it out below:

hopefully they will use this time to make it more better than those leaked vids that were up
That video looks worse than the Genesis/Mega Drive versions of Sonic. Why does the quality of videos suffer so much when being uploaded to Springboard?
I really hope that the delay helps this game because honestly it doesn’t look very good. Sonic looks slowed down. It would suck if this game fails. Then, there’d be no hope. No hope.
this sucks… i was really looking forward to it.
