Demon’s Souls To Challenge You For Less Cash

06/05/2010 Written by Paulmichael Contreras

Demon’s Souls, an RPG known for its brutal difficulty level, sold a reasonable amount, and a recent price reduction may have spurred sales. But if you’ve yet to take the plunge, you’re in luck – a great deal is now available for this game.

How does half-price sound? Well, available at Amazon.com right now, Demon’s Souls is only $29.99. That’s right, you can get this well-received challenging RPG for only $30. Get to the frustrating killing already!

How about they half-price they a$$ into giving me a strategy guide. Granted I could go online to read one but I really want one in book format…limited editions…who does this. Anyway off my soap box now lol.

  2. i might as well go out and get this game now. I don’t know why i haven’t already, but i guess this is the deal thats going to take me to game stop.

I would say its hard but not frustrating. Case in point…Mod Nation Racers is frustrating, but not hard, Demon Souls is hard but not frustrating…the game doesn’t cheat. In MNR i think it does a bit, you have to be seriously lucky to win some races…It makes me want to throw the controller at my tv, and I never get that feeling.

That my friend is frustration, demon souls is just hard because your not uber bad ass even when your high level. It hones your skills, makes you watch out in every corner…seriously if your skeptical then rent but honestly I wouldn’t I’d just buy it instead.

Personally I haven’t beaten it yet as Im playing a backlog of games at the moment. I have about 6-8 games before it…the reason why I put it at the end is I have a tendency to dual play games or rather jump from game to game so currently im playing MNR and Battlefield BC2.

Seriously though you should give it a shot, you won’t be dissapointed…even in death lol.

great deal but I already have too many games that I haven’t had a chance to finish or even start so I will just have to wait even longer, I definitely will pick it up eventually though, or at least rent it

  7. Actually I got this one for my birthday, and find myself incredibly disappointed. In all the reviews I read that said how hard it was but how cool it was, they failed to mention that the reason for difficulty in this game is the horribly clunky and stiff feeling combat system – which frankly, even if this was at a “normal difficulty”, creates a game that just isn’t any fun. Combine that with the fact that almost any enemy can kill you in 2-3 hits, and a total lack of a check point system, and what you have is an infuriating trial and error game, where you never really get good at it, you simply die enough times that you’ve memorized where every enemy is going to be. Maybe their intention was to make the game difficult, but it comes off as poor design to me – I would steer clear of this.
