  1. ahhhh thats incredibly tempting. Somehow I get the impression this will not fix my disappointment with Demon’s Souls, considering the mixed reviews and linearity of the game.

  2. Also, a suggestion: I immediately checked your review to see what you guys had to say on the subject. The formatting of the website could use a slight tweak; the new “you might also like” bar is cool, but is placed above the “next page” links. I think that should be switched. You get to the end of the first page and see “you might also like” and it looks like the review is over, without even a score, when in fact you need to scroll further for the next page. It should be “next page”, then “you might also like”. Not a big deal, but mildly confusing at first.

  3. This shit isn’t worth a quarter.

  4. Agree Nosferatu King, this s hit isn’t worth a dam dime. What a worthless game!

  5. BigWoopMagazine…I’m already not interested in your magazine if you prefer this slop to Demon’s Souls…a Magnificent game.

  6. wtGp says:

l agree with Nosferatu King. This game is just terrible

  7. Caudill says:

Never understood the hate for this game, it never left my system from the day I got it until the day I beat it, loved it start to finish.

Although, my extreme bias and love for all things JRPG might have something to do with that. Anyway, that aside, I can admit its not the best in the Final Fantasy series by any means, but what the game does well it does VERY well, it’s not as bad as the internet makes it seem.

If you can grab it for cheap (like this article is helping you with) and you’re into RPGs I say give it a try, the game has just as many fans as haters, the haters just seem more vocal ;)

  8. NukeA6 says:

I wished I payed the 60$ for Demon’s Souls instead of FFXIII. Too late :(

  9. @NukeA6, Demon’s Soul now carries a price of 29.99 so now would be a good time to get it. I already got FFXIII during Kmart’s sale for 19.99. I hope this information is somewhat beneficial for you or someone else that is interested in Demon’s Soul.

  10. SmokeyPSD says:

ill wait for the price to come down more, and when im not busy with other, more worthy games.

  11. SPD55 says:

I will wait for the permanent price drop. I am not a big fan of the combat system that JRPG’s use so the current price for the game is more than I am willing to pay.

  12. Meghterb says:

I would buy the game, but I already bought it at release and it’s one of the best games I’ve played in this generation.

  13. JackC8 says:

I just ordered it yesterday – couldn’t resist the price :)

  14. @tooter – I am the magazine, I don’t make one, and clearly you haven’t learned how to read me since I clearly stated my skepticism due to mixed reviews and linearity. I haven’t even tried FFXIII yet, so clearly can’t have a preference yet. However, in my eyes Demon’s Souls is complete slop using the excuse of difficulty to cover up all the missing elements and retarded decisions made in the creation of that game. Why everyone over looks that is beyond me. Its not fun (the game plays like it was made in ’95 and given HD graphics), its just tedious, and as a result I am on the hunt for something to fill that void. I haven’t played a FF game that I’ve been truly happy with since 7 (8 sucked, 9 was ok, 10 was too linear, never tried 11, 12 was too automated), so I was already skeptical on that basis, however any one of them is 10 times more fun than demon’s souls. As far as I’m concerned they can keep that junk over in Japan. At least with Final Fantasy I have a slim chance of controlling a character with some sort of depth, or who at least speaks, and maybe experiencing,,, get this,,, a storyline! Maybe thats too much to ask though…
