Move Charging Dock Unvelied

06/14/2010 Written by Sebastian Moss

Remember that space under your TV? Now filled with a tangled mess of cables, peripherals and chargers as you try to keep all your latest gadgets powered up. Well it looks like you might just have to find room for another charging dock, this time for Sony’s super precise motion controller, the PlayStation Move.

Nyko will be releasing two charging stations, one which holds one Move Controller and one Sub-Controller and one which holds two of each (pictured below). No price has yet been announced for either of the chargers, or whether there will also be an official Sony charging dock.

PlayStation LifeStyle will be bringing you up-to-date news, live from E3, as it happens throughout the week.

does that mean the playstation move uses batteries? I hope not I hated having to get multiply batteries for the wii.

  3. @timewarp

it uses usb charged batteries like the regular controller does
this is like a 4 port hub designed to hold the move , pretty cool

for my wii I’ve been using the icon usb chargeable batteries and they’re awesome , lasts about the same as regular batteries and I’ve used the same set for 2 years and they still charge perfectly

@timewarp: Move “wands” have built-in rechargable batteries like your normal controllers on PS3 [ie sixaxis/dualshock 3] … and u know, i still cant believe the wii uses regular batteries -.-

I would usually turn my sigh somewhere else when i see charger stations, BUT.. if you think about it, the shape of the controller may cause it to fall when charging with a regular USB cable.. with this it would b standing still and probably more secure. I dont know, may b usefull.. besides, i have 1 and only 1 USB cable..
