I’m not so sure if I would get this game anymore. I was really in to the first two games, but that was before I knew anything about comics outside of the cartoons growing up.

I have gotten really big into DC now, so even though I’m a little biased towards DC, that wasn’t going to inhibit my decision in getting this game much. I was still going to keep it an open mind.

I think the biggest drawback has to be the limitations that capcom is purposely implying in this game. I don’t mind DLC in this new generation, but on a fighting game, to me that really shows the potential the original could have included. I do not doubt what so ever with what they learned from SSFIV and SFIV, Marvel VS Capcom 3 will have character DLC packs later down the road with more characters that should have been in the game to begin with.

At least in SFIV, they worked on the engine from the ground up. So they could only do so much before they perfected the game and freed up more space to add more things. But with Marvel VS Capcom, it’s very similar to Tatsunoko, it’s the same Producer for crying out loud. Sure they say they are using the engines that ran Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet, but I’m not buying that crap that the game is built from the ground up.

Anyway, this iteration certainly feels gimped, I could careless how they are trying to appeal to the casual crowd and what not. For me, since there really isn’t any Marvel characters I’m excited about, I feel like the only way they can get me on board will be with content, which overall I think is what will be lacking. Not to mention the ever so popular paid costumes,

No thanks, I’ll just stick to the Street Fighter Franchise from this company. I don’t think VS games will be what they use to be in this new generation.

And HOPEFULLY, the PS3 version won’t get shafted, like in every Capcom game this generation. I want my PS3 version looking as sharp as any or I’ll be pissed. Is Capcom from Japan or what? Why does Sony take so much crap from Capcom after they’ve done so much together since PSone?
